Armoir micro grow...Short Rider under CFL's

The first plant has been in a big applesauce jar for 3 weeks now. The dry yield was 19.6 grams. The toke is smooth with a slight sweet aftertaste. On hit does it for me. Uplifting and strong with no couch lock.

It's around 4 months and I've cut and hung the 2nd plant. The small buds leaves frosted up much more than the 1st. I finally picked up a ph meter. The liquid test kit was way too hard to use for me. I have it hanging in the grow cabinet with the lights off and the fan circulating. This plant has a bigger yield than the 1st. I'm going to have way over an oz from these two plants. I still have two seeds left and hope to get them started once the weather warms up and I can keep the windows open. My filter system couldn't keep up with the skunk towards the end.

Th 2nd plant is now trimmed weighed and curing in the jar. It weighs in at 33.3 grams minus a few bowls :). This one is stickier than the 1st. I could have crawled up wall with my finger tips like a spider after I trimmed it up. I yielded over 52 grams between the two plants. The high is a real sleeper. Takes about five minutes then a solid, upper type high kicks in. Motivating high.
This grow has been a total success. I thought I had problems with the FFOF and leaf burn but I can't argue with the yield. Maybe I'll drop my remaining seeds in the FFOF and grow some more leafless bonzai Short Riders :). Guess this will be my last update. Thanks for those that checked in.

Really great yield man! This has totally put my expectations up for my (huge pc case) pc grow which I can't unfortunately start until August!

Dude, thats a pretty sweet micro grow. I do a plant or two in pc cases occasionally for fun, and come up with similar results. id advise looking into using a reptile UV CFl bulb, it may help with trich production. Also, maybe a small (like a 100 watt) HPS light. they can be had pretty cheap, and dont cost a lot as far as electricity is concerned. As long as you can vent the extra heat, i think youd like the results.

Nice grow , how much was the total time under the CFLs from seed ? Nice job with these plants. Enjoy :)
Thanks for checking in. The 1st plant I harvested in 12 weeks and the 2nd in 15 weeks. Narvana advertised they'd be ready for harvet in 6-8 weeks. I threw that out the window and let them go on their own schedule. It was worth the wait.

Thanks man. They completely exceeded my expectations. I just ran cfl's 24 hours a day and LST'd the shit out of them. I'm rehab'ing the grow space now and getting ready to grow my last two seeds. Ran pretty much straight FFOF. Everytime I put ferts in I burned them so I quit. August will be here before you know it, start prep'ing your grow box now.

I appreciate it and thanks for checking in. I'm about to start a second grow and if it produces like this one I'll be set for probably two years:) That Reptile bulb looks interesting. My cabinet was in the low 80's most of the daylight hours. I think an HPS would flame it out. I wish I had a space to try one.

I cracked my last two short rider seeds 8 days ago. I tried to germinate the sole seed I found on one of the 1st two plants but it was DOA. Don't think I have room for a third plant anyways. They're in FFOF again and I'm watering with distilled water but will switch to tap soon. Took a couple pics of the grow space. Three cfl's. Again different traits showing early. I'm starting out the gate at a 18/6 light cycle. I'm hoping to save a little on the electric bill. I went 24/day last time so I'll see if there is a difference. Feel free to check in.

hey bro you should be flushing not adding more nutes, especially on day 75 on a autoflower.....p.s. those things dont need much nutes anyways.

if i was you id buy a short growing photoperiod indica rather then shitty autoflowers. if you get a clone it will be around the same time from start to harvest and your bud will be ALOT BETTER...plus you should get a bigger harvest! id recommend afghani #1 from sensi seeds. very short plant, easy to clone, lst, and finishes VERY fast. goodluck.

Huh? I think you posted on the wrong thread.

i didnt read all the way through the thread i just commented on your grow on the first page. you said you added nutrients on day 75 so i was simply saying at that time it should be time to flush not add more nutrients. autoflowers suck straight up though, consider a photoperiod plant for better yield/quality. anyways, good luck with your new grow friend, hope the ganja gods are with you!

Appreciate the good thoughts. I went with the short rider mostly due to it's size, or lack there of. My space is a little bigger than a storage tub. 52 gr with cfl's from the 1st two plants was better than I expected. The 2nd plant I actually didn't start flushing till around day 100. I hardly used any nutes anyways so there wasn't much to flush.
Short Rider is a indica and ruderalis cross. Ruderalis brings the autoflower trait and indica short bushy traits and higher THC. One of these new plants has lleaves like a maple tree. Lot's of indica in this one. I suspect more THC too.

ive dabbed into autoflowers and my personal opinion is that other then outdoors(which theyre amazing for) you can grow one small indica plant and get about the same yield of 2 autoflowers, with much higher bud quality. i would lst them from the start, let them veg them enough to be able to snag a clone off, give them a week then flower them. start to finish time is a little slower on my method but quality is always better. Thats just my opinion though, maybe give it a shot someday, its good to try new things. haha. much love
