Armed dispensary guards?

A panic button should lock the doors of these places while notifying the popo. then the next button should release the hatch in the floor where the robber drops into a pit in the basement.

"IT PUTS THE LOTION ON" if you get my drift.

Don't knock it, it's a living. When I was an armored car carrier, I looked at carrying as protecting my ass, not the money I was hauling as it wasn't mine. Someone wants it, I'll load it for them as long as they leave my wallet alone.
I have been carrying as a permitted citizen for twenty years, and never had an issue. You would never know, and I am not a gang banger look alike, and I wear everything from jeans to suits. No one would ever know if I am carrying or not unless I had a legal reason to pull it.
Not all of use gun people are bad people.
Don't get me wrong, man. I'm the furthest thing from anti-gun. I tend to believe the old saying that "an armed society is a polite society".

Exactly! My state just changed from a "may issue" to a "Shall issue" state with open and concealed carry. Unless one has a criminal record or documented mental issues that would disqualify one from getting a permit, the counties "Shall issue". There is a large run of applications. With more legal citizens armed, the odds of one doing something stupid with a gun getting stopped by a legal carrier increases.
I would never carry in the open, that puts me at a tactical disadvantage.

i dont care either way if a guard is " packing " or not. Not all dispensary's are located in the best of area's. If the crooks have guns i dont see any reason why Security shouldn't have them either. I wish we could have CWP here in cali. i feel if we could then a lot of these armed crooks would think twice about robing a store because you never know who is standing behind them with a loaded gun. i was raised around firearms and hunting my whole life so i dont get " freaked out " when i see someone with a gun.

When I'm in Cali I guarantee you I'll still be packing regardless of a permit or not. I will try to get one of course but if not, oh well.

Given the recent violent robberies at some so cal dispensaries (including a murder), I would think that armed guards will become the norm. Let's face it, a couple of peace loving hippies behind the pot counter make a pretty soft target. It's a sad thing.

you will NOT be getting a CWP in cali. also dont chance it by still having your hand gun on you. it is an automatic felony and you can kiss you CWP for any other state good bye AND the right to own a firearm legaly for the rest of your life.

Yeah, get caught carrying concealed out here and you're pretty much wrecked. Get caught carrying concealed while in possession of any weight, and you're straight fucked.

In LA here in cali you can walk around with an Empty pistol. and its legal. but you gotta stay away from certain areas and its a good way to get shot by the cops

well Cali, state law says you can have a unloaded pistol on your person but has to be visable. In Livermore ,CA there was a guy trying to use his rights and do this even tho the cops understood the law and sided with the man doing it. it was the public who got freaked out and would call the police saying there is a guy walking around with a gun. so Livermore being a city that is a bit countryfied and with police having nothing better to do they would show up in full force to find the same guy each time to be fallowing the loop hole in the state law. so it pretty much comes down to " do at your own risk "
