I got hairs, little tiny hairs all over my plants
I said come here ma and tell me what this is
and she said I think they're little tiny hairs
and I said yep, little tiny hairs
that's what they are
Really? You have little tiny hairs?

Most of my plants have produced a few hairs through the season, mbut only the Durban Poison has started to get serious. BUT all the plants are very very close to exploding, with little tiny hairs.

My Regulator Kush and Sweet Island Skunk is flowering but my youger seedlings are still in veg.. It really depends on how mature your plant is and what strain. Many strains will flower under 14 hrs of sunlight and down here in SoCal sunlight hrs never went over 14hrs 45min... So we were vegging under 24-0 inside then putting them outside to flower all year. This year has been really weird everywhere

Here are some pics taken yesterday (june 28th) of my OG Kush that is outside. I put her outside at the end of june when I bought her from a friend as a teen. I almost took her in because it is kinda cool in San Francisco. But... she has some mites or something, so I just left her out there. I took some clones off of her, and I'm doing a neem oil treatment on them.

I mainly wanted her because after smoking some of the weed she was cloned from I decided I wanted to have her genetics. So, since I have clones I'm not too worried if she doesn't produce much if anything. I'm feeding her some standard shultz 10-15-10 liquid food right now every couple waterings.

She hasn't been growing much. As you can see, she definitely has some hairs coming out. She also has some purpling of the leaves. Not sure if that is normal. I dunno... I think the cold weather here is going keep her from doing very well. Also, I've seen some webs on her and some bite holes at times. I'll treat her with neem oil after the clones if I have any left (I'm running low on the stuff) We'll see what happens....

I'm in the East Bay Area and just gave my plants in the ground a last good strong dose of veg food. I noticed later she is showing hairs and preflowers so I will start feeding her Botanicare pro bloom soil Aug 1

Agreed.

Transplanting into a five gallon pot would get you a burst of growth.

My 2010 grow thread is linked below. On page 38 is my transplanting tutorial. Follow directions and you'll be glad you did.

No dis, No worries. This only my second time growing, and the first ended in disaster. So I'll take all the help I can get. I'm just feeding it some 10-15-10 "Shultz" liquid plant food I got from the grocery store... mainly b/c I haven't made time to get out to a hydro store and buy something better.

Also, the temps are in the 60's and 50's here in San Francisco most of the time (even in the summer). So I'm not sure it is even worth the time and effort to find the best food. I"m thinking the plant will never really thrive in these conditions. I guess I should at least give her all the help I can though. I'll head to the hydro store today and pick up some recommended bloom ferts

I'm seeing it as well, surprising since I saw no white hairs last year until well into August. What's up with that? (not complaining)

Normal time is August, but some strains/areas start a little sooner.

I'm guessing clones start soomer versus seed, based on the past few years

Well thats a relief. Im not ready for veg to be done. I want a 8 footer before flowering starts.

Weird how clones start earlier
