Are these lights a good addition?

I say invest in PROPER lighting!

I do not see the advantage to using LED unless your building COB's !

I have to say this and then go back to avoiding LED and CFL questions.

With choices like,
CDM
Dual Arc
and DE Gavita

WHY any LED less then COB's?

Now that I said this. The floor is now open for your whiny name calling.

They wouldn't do enough to be worth the price......Sell the inefficient 300 and get a real light.....You'll see improvement that will shock you!

Of course you won't recommend those bulbs you have a problem with led period. I've read several articles and had several people recommend led lights. They are inexpensive, safe, and don't use much electricity. You're the only person I've talked to that ever bashed leds. So what exactly is your problem with them?

im the darkside, mixed spectrum hps and mh. For me its not about the type of light so much as the kelvin they put out. If i can mimic that sun with my equipment i dont need anything else, well except the sun itself.

I'm just trying to see if adding these to my tent would help the plant any. I would be pointing them towards the middle of the plant where the big panel would barely get to (leaves blocking the light). I would have my mars hydro 300w led panel hanging from the ceiling.

They aren't as reliable and they don't quite have the strength average lights have, but they will work. They may eventually fail on you, though.

Just something I feel like sharing from my light engineering experience, LED's project like lasers in the fact that the light literally travels in straight laser-pointer like fashion in high concentration. although we humans may perceive it as a "blanket" of light, it is in fact a laser wall of light. Applied to some plants in some fashions, this can lead to "mystery" holes on your leafs as the LED system has laser burned its way through each leaf. Usually though I put it down to the 1" range some people park the array away at.
