Right on. Just went to Archives site to check it out. Description sounds nice, your gonna love it. Please keep an update on it if you have time, I'd love to follow along.
This is just like the og I had back in Cali. in the 90's. Found another seedbank/breeder worth keeping around. Archive just isn't someone trying to cash in on the fades slapping the OG label on it, it's really it! I've been disappointed in ALOT of breeders that when you grow it out it doesn't match the description at all, then you get the '' oh you have to find the right phenol.'' Shit if I don't get 1 out of 10 to match the description I think their full of shit.lol. Just me though. But yeah Cannacopia, peakseedsbc, Archive are my favorites right now. Here's some dryed to 65% moisture content. Still a little on the wet side but to be honest I don't think it's gonna make it to a full dry and cure. It's strong and a little goes a long way but my people are smoking it up likes it going out a style. lol

Yeah I know what you mean. It seems like most strains lean towards the sweet smelling side..so if something with even just a little of that sweet/fruity profile is crossed with an og, the good fuely funky smell is wiped out. It looks like Archives strains are all top notch OG type strains though. Very nice pics. I got perfect germination with my 2 packs, Ill try and get some pics up when there is a little more to look at.

Right on brother, lookin forward to it. I'm definatly keeping this one around for awhile. When I went on the archive site the other day to check out the race fuel the seed buying bug bit me. lol. I'm on the fence on either getting something else from archive or..... I'm not sure yet. Now that I got a super fire OG in the stable I'm now looking for a heavy yielder. I'm not sure if Archive has anything like that I'll have to re-check, I'm thinking most of his are og or cookie type crosses. These average 1-1/2 ounces per un dialed in.
Is there anything you could recommend as a high yielder?

Yeah finding a good balance is tough,Ive never done any of the archive strains before so out of those not sure..theres a couple that say big yielding. The code blue is one that looks like it might yield, Ive grown cat piss before and it yielded well.

As far as other breeders and high yielders, Ive found that most of the ones that yield well are sativa dom, like for a while Ive been growing Karma Bitch from Rare Dankness..it yields well but it takes like 10-11 weeks. I just grew Pura Vida from Bodhi and same thing good yield but 10 weeks. So it is a trade off. If I grow something good that yields just avg but only takes 8-9 weeks Im as happy with that as something that yields a little more that takes longer.

Those Archive OG type strains look like theyd yield better with scrogging, I usually do that with viney OG strains..its more work but bumps yield up by a third easily.

Beautiful

What characteristics is the face off pheno?
Thanks
She's very branchy and lanky as with most OG strains(this is actually my first legit OG cross that shows legit OG signs. I'm used to watered down kush pollen chucked crosses

smell wise I keep thinking raw lime juice with crushed grapes somewhere around in the mix.

She puts off more of the "golfball" like nugs than the other pheno that must be staked. While the other pheno just needs stakes on the main branches that I topped for... Everything else holds up on it's own

Here are some full plant shots and a few branches

Face off dominant structured grimace OG(like 2.5 months veg*ran into issues switching from soil to coco) my god the lanky ass branches are* so annoying. She's a good 45 inches I'll bring her down to 35-40 soon(I've got enough height space for her to reach almost 6feet. But I'll be continuing to attempt to just bush her out
image.jpg

I try to expose light to them but that doesn't really aid in toughening or thickening them up for clones to be cut yet alone for decent sized nugs to appear. So I'll be lollipopping within the next 2 days and cutting numerous clones while prepping the upper growth to be trained for flower

Urkle dom in veg, she doesn't put off as much lankiness as the faceoff so I'll prob flower this one on jan 4 and the faceoff dom on dec 28image.jpg

I want to flower this Sunday but my plans for other strains in my garden are kind of forbidding me since I'm perpetual and if I flip these big grimace OG now then I'll lose my 10x5 veg area too soon before my other strains are ready.

Thanks man she has alot more purple than some of the photos seem to show... im very satisfied with archive so far but good ol joint will solidify my position fully on grimace. never ran an og strain but sheesh the amount of frost they put off by day 28 is stellar, so casper og should be dank! rudeboi is on my list

these two are in soil but i have one in a 7gal smart pot of coco and another in a 5gal coco that i just flipped Wednesday.

Nah I'm not running co2 since I'm in grow tents, wish I could though. I'd really like to, how hard was it building your sealed room?

I have 6 rug burn beans and a few other rare dankness strains(cornbread, ghost of Leroy, Scott's OG, and 501st) really want to compare them to archives gear esp rare darkness since they use the same purple Urkle clone I'm assuming.

Keep me up to date on your work man, unless you have a journal?
