Your right.

But you you still need 400PPF. Not 250. Youd need 2 of them. But are still not as efficient as the HLG, Gavita, or Phillips. A 240w Gavita would be over 400PPF.
For example at the low end, a HLG550 Eco puts out around 60 PPF per square foot, for a 4x5 flower footprint.

For example at the higher end, a HLG300L puts out around 75 PPF per square foot, for a 3x3 flower footprint.
In a 2.5 x 2.5 flower footprint, it goes up to around 110 PPF per square foot.

PPF is an expression of the output of photons from a light fixture. It is very unwise to use PPF on a per square foot basis like I have done above. It simply does not translate well to what light reaches canopy level. You will not see a manufacturer use PPF/Square foot as a metric.
We can run a HLG550 Eco at 36" above canopy. We can run the HLG550 at 18" above canopy. In both instances, the canopy recieves a different amount of light energy which the plants attempt to convert.

swangang69 has stated he wants to cover a 2x2, and in his first post linked to the product he was looking at. With supplied driver is overkill, but he can both dim the driver and raise the fixture high.

For a 5x5 go with three or four 240w kits. I built a custom fixture using three 240w kits for my 4x4 and once I got above 550w the plants showed some stress. You don’t need as much wattage as you think if you have the spread. 2.1 pounds from 3 plants, King Brite all the way.

@Moflow would be a good guide to ask. He has par mapped some China boards, and has a good feel for them.If you are up to searching, you could also check out the knockoff thread. https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-chinese-quantum-board-knock-off-builds.971560/page-169

Is the area you will be growing in 2ft x 2ft - 610mm x 610mm?
That Kingbrite 240 fixture with 2 boards measures 24.88 inches - 632mm long.
Will it fit in your space......?

That 240 driver is overpowered for a 2 x 2, youd need it dimmed well down to around 150 - 160 watts.
You can dim with the aid of a kilowatt meter which is cheap.
Your 2ft x 2ft = 4 Sq ft area
4 sq ft x 40 watts = 160 watts.
~ 40 watts per Sq ft needed, so 160 watt MAX for 2ft x 2ft.
What height do you have?
The Boards are approx 12" x 8" so, you could ask them do they have the same fixture, 2 boards but measuring ~16" x 12".
Or buy just the boards and sinks and get a smaller driver locally, ie an hlg 185h or hlg 150h

Kingbrite 240 Light at 18" away for flowering
3ft away for vegging

Most people end up buying a bigger tent eventually anyway, so you might as well. So many peeps (myself included) start out thinking they only need one small space, but soon discover that it's not enough.

I started with one grow cabinet (that was just retired) and now have 5 tents of various sizes. Expanding to some outdoor this year as well. More is better, man.
