never used it, but i have 5 gallon buckets, allows larger root growth, larger plant growth you know, looks like a cool little package tho

That one is 3.5 gallons. Wouldn't be for a huge grow. 2 of those would be for a 2 x 4 area. And for $35 each, probably cost near that to build it myself.

There will be plenty of pics. This is not only my 1st hydroponics grow, it is my 1st real indoor grow.give it a go and post some pics
I've done a practice grow with bagseed and CFLs, cheap soil, and got decent results.
Not sure what strains I'll be doing, only name brand stuff I ever grew (outdoors), was Big Bud and Skunk.
Wasn't impressed with the BB, and the Skunk is too smelly for inside. I only use a small Ozone gen + Ona.
I'll be getting 2 strains from Nirvana, probably Northern Lights and AK 48. $80 for 10 seeds total. 5 of each.
I may substitute the AK 48 with Master Kush. So many choices....
I'm ordering the buckets and lights on Monday, and the seeds either on Monday, or the next day.

well said, in my 5 gallon buckets those badboys drink so much, its almost a hassle refilling em, lol

I would only put 2 plants in each, and leave the other 2 slots empty.

Here's the deal: Plants drink a lot. They don't take in a lot of PPM (or TDS) as quickly as water so your nutrients gets concentrated. When they drink they change the nutrient levels and pH of the remaining water. Little water = fast changes Lots of water = slower changes.
That's the basest of basics but most people don't realize it. It's a whole different ballgame from soil. Soil you worry about too little nutes, hydro you worry about too much nutes.

Corpse is rite 5 gallon buckets is the way to go my girls drink a bucket in 4 to 5 days each one my plants had 3 to 4 ounces dried.
1/4 lb of cannabis?
thats alot per plant to be asking from a 3.5 gallon bucket, averages around 1.8 oz per plant and I get that in one 5 gallon bucket.

I'd use 5 or even 7 gallon buckets, but I have height restrictions, my cabs are only 40" in height.
How many plants do you have in each 5 gallon bucket?

I'm a dirt guy myself but that looks more like a cloner than to complete a grow in, imo the roots of 4 plants in a bucket that small would hurt growth as well as yield just my opinion. But it does look similar to the cloner I made wich works great by the way for getting clones rooted and going before transplanting into soil.

I've never grown with hydro before, and I just finishing my my first indoor grow (with decent results). The same company makes a cloner using the same bucket, but instead of
4 spots, there's 8. And there is a drip system too. It's $50.
I just want to grow 2 small plants per bucket, I've seen smaller hydro setups, including one that has just a 2 gallon res, and six spots for plants.
I have seen grows done with that, on this site even, with decent results, and it was their first time doing hydro. So 2 plants in 3.5 gallons should
do as good, or better results, providing the strains and lights will allow that.
You can make one for about $15 cheaper. That's what I'm doing. All you need is the bucket, lid, net pots, medium, air pump, air tubing, air stone,
and of course nutrient solution.
I'd go for a bigger bucket, but I have height restrictions.

I wish you the best of luck on your grow and I do not know a lot about hydo but have read the plants root system tends to grow smaller than that of plants in soil and I have pulled out huge root systems out of 3 1/2 gallon buckets after harvest in soil. Yeah I built an 8 site cloner with a 5g bucket built it for like 20 bucks or so from a trip to wally world. No need imo for drip system or sprayers if making a bubble cloner seems to work great without em. There is a lot of guys into dwc on here and some pull amazing results with minimal setups like what your talking but those guys have the trial and error part down by now. Once again best of luck to you on your grow and keep us updated would love to know how well it works out for you. I'm old school and believe each plant should have its own container
