Then you shall prove them others wrong, also depends on what strain you have.. Some strains can take a lot of stress which is good in ur situation but others can't take it at all. Seems like your doing good though so I don't see why to stop as long as it's not stunting growth or getting sick..

i have never had as good as hps with cfls, just saying. but i use a mix of cfl, hps and led now and i like it for what it is. you can grow some decent bud with cfl, but mine have always been a little on the lite side with just cfl. peace

You can get as good quality not as good yields

I just had another harvest a few weeks ago with cfls...The Power Flower plant had big buds so dense that I actually broke them down a bit before drying as I was a little worried about mold....No idea what Pet Flora is talking about...

Oh, and the other plant I just harvested was a c99...A couple I gave some to love that weed...It's also one of the best pots I have ever smoked.

Hey All,

I think CFL's are great! Yes it takes a lot more thought when placing lamps and building a grow box, but my outcome has always proven awesome. Tight, resin filled buds. I'm the kind of person who to constantly likes to improve my setup. This is my third grow box and a pretty much nailed it this time around. Play with your light spectrum, fan's, water, grow medium and you will do wonders. Quality seeds help as well. Remember, you won't be an expert overnight. I've been experimenting for years and still have much to learn.

Good luck,

i grew all cfl for a year and started investing in LED's. now the LED's are dirt cheap, i just bought a 400w with 5w diodes for under $200 including shipping. I will use this to take out my last 2 t5 4tf x2 bulb lights which i will be buying new bulbs for and putting these in my veg room. the simple rule that the bigger the pot, and the more the light makes for denser, stronger buds with increased weight yields is very true. LED is a more exact light for what the plant needs and although the actual wattage of CFL to LED is about the same, the plants tell me they are getting much more of the LED light to use for the plants production. LED's have actually Reduced my heat signature from CFL's also... not dogging CFL's but saying with the great reduction in price per watt and getting 5w diodes to reach deeper into the canopy? its worth looking at. I have some 240w led's with 3w diodes that have burned out on half the light that i use on the walls of my grow tent to reach the lower parts of the plant and actually because the top is completely full of the lights already :+) (this used to be the last of my CFL domain, the side lighting), LED's actually draw about 60% load of the stated wattage.. so a 400w LED is really only drawing about 250w and you can use these numbers when calculating the total watts per breaker.. im on 15amp breakers so i like to stop around 1200 actual watts. also have a small fan and timer on this circuit, run my big fan with duel tall boy filters on a separate line. All in all, as i replaced my CFL's with LED's my harvest increased, potency increased, heat signature reduced. plus i do not have to constantly readjust the cfls anymore so they are not touching the plant yet not farther than 3 inches from the plant daily game either.
