Another shooting in a Maryland Mall

lanza wouldn't even do a background check. loughner couldn't have passed one. kliebold and harris were minors.

too many guns in the hands of irresponsible parents.

there should be a law against this type of thing, maybe we'd have less dead kindergarteners on our hands.

criminals don't follow laws, but parents generally do.

i wonder what holmes' body count would have been using a large stick with nails in it.

semi automatic guns with high capacity magazines are the mass murderers' weapons of choice for a reason.
ok, i kind of agree with that point, but i still think that if a psycho killer wants to be a psycho killer, lack of access to a gun isn't going to keep him from being a psycho killer..

this is what happens when terrorists WIN...

This is the post 9/11 world your government created. You reap what you sow.

nothing will stop every mass murderer.

some common sense stuff will mitigate, deter, or lessen the atrocities of some mass murderers.

the NRA's job is to make sure we have the best equipped mass murderers in the world.

i disagree with that mission.

The semi-automatic pistol is also the weapon of choice for people because stabbing someone to death is very intimate as it relates to killing. Most people who shoot someone do so because they are intimidated by the intimacy that comes with getting your steel wet.

Also, civilian shootings get you squirming yet when the US military murder THOUSANDS you smile and nod in agreement? Something is very wrong with this picture...

There was an incident not long ago where the police, who trained regularly at their range wound up shooting at least two innocent people. The police have about a 40 or 50 percent chance of hitting their targets in a real shooting situation. And you want people who maybe - MAYBE go to the range once or twice a year to be shooting at people? let alone the legal tangle involved in civilians not defending simply themselves - but other groups of people from a mass shooter?
MOST police train very infrequently as officially they only have to qualify once maybe twice per year. So at minimum police only have to fire about 100 shots per year. Some police may be enthusiasts, but officially they don't have to "Train" with their weapons all the time. Most need to be out on patrol or doing their jobs.

Many people go to the range far more than once or twice a year too, plenty of them probably shoot thousands of rounds per year.

I think your perception of people who own firearms and police have been severely skewed by the boob tube.

If 100 cars went off a 300 foot cliff, how many do you expect would violently blow up on impact?

actually, the problem is people with guns.

there's a reason why mass murderers overwhelmingly choose guns and why people who attempt to pull off mass murders with knives are wildly unsuccessful in racking up the body count.

you want dead bodies? get a semi automatic gun with a large capacity magazine.

the NRA is retarded and has a nice base of retarded followers who buy into some retarded logic.

the end result is that the USA has the best equipped mass murderers in the world.

give yourselves a round of applause, folks. you did it.
The mind is the weapon, not the tool. Perhaps if we make people see killing as an unacceptable choice, we won't have to do anything to guns at all.

After all, a killer can use a knife, a rock car, a pipe, a fist..... to kill. A gun just makes proper sense since it multiplies force. For example, by giving a 90 pound woman the ability to easily defeat six 300 pound linebackers intent on ripping her to shreds.

Do you think they are just scared of exposing their weaknesses, however carefully hidden? Maybe they don't like to talk about their feelings.

nice appeal to emotion, but why do mass murderers so often choose semi automatics with high capacity mags rather than stones?

In order to use a knife you must get very close to your target. Most people by design are cowards. They choose to kill from far away as a safety measure in case they are forced to engage for an extended period of time. It provides them safety during the kill.

You can kill a polar bear with a hunting knife. Why don't people use them instead of rifles?

They are afraid the bear will kill them.

Guns are used by those who can not kill by other means. In other words, cowards.

Yes, but do you tell the person your fears in life before you let the blade sink in?
