Alt0's Grow (1st timer)

I am having this idea about grow room automation and
I found some things that will help
PowerLinc™ Controller - USB-Based Home Automation Device 69.99
This can be programmed with your PC then disconnected for stand alone operation. It can also be controlled wireless.
INSTEON OutletLinc, White 45.99 x4= 183.96
These are what it controls (along with other things if you like)
INSTEON RemoteLinc Wireless Remote Control, Silver 49.99
This is a way to shut off the Grow Room Remotely from anywhere in the house.
This can allow for precise timer integration turning your lights, fans, Co2, room fan on/off on a computer controlled schedule.
Say you want the Co2 to kick on then 10 mins later have the lamp light for the start of your 12. At that time the Co2 will stay on but only for 30 more mins when the exhaust fan starts up.
Just when the temps are getting at the limit.
Then have the fan shut down like 30 mind before the lamp and start back up the Co2 for a before bed booster shot.
Its about 300 USD for what I need to do that, but in time I can build on and eventually be able to control my entire home.
Just something I thought of when I realized I needed to buy a few timers and try and synchronize them.

i know the last thing i told you didnt really work out but ive heard that most grow smaller than a sea of green you can smoke around it and it will provide more than enough CO2 but i dont know if that will work just saw it somewhere

yeah the friendly guy at the hydro shop said they work great
but then he wants me to buy one
I probably will, just because it will be easier to deal with
than a bunch of soda bottles filled with sugar and yeast
sugar/ants-yeast/smell could be annoying at least
but they are 140 bucks (or about that)
just wondered if anyone had one

Thanks Skittles, I don't think the idea you had was not worth a try. I did it.
It could be why the kids are staying nice and short IDK
I don't have enough experience with this to say really.
Sounded logical so we tried it Heh. All ideas are good and welcome.

yea the CO2 tank would work great for you i think...
if the plants you gave the rooting hormone to stopped stretching substantially then it did its purpose

Room Conditions:
LIGHTS (400W MH) ON 24
Distance from top of Growing Medium 22"
Temperature -
84F
Humidity - 55%
Room/Light vent running-
YES (on 4 off 2)
Small room fan (on low, facing plants, timed off / on every 30 mins)
Co2 bottle- fizzing
Water Conditions:
Reservoir Aeration running-YES
Temperature – 72F
PH –
5.3
PPM -
1025
Nutrient Solution: (2 GAL.Mixture)
25.0ML Flora Nova GROW™
2.0ML Floralicious Plus™
20.0ML FLORABLEND ™Vegan Compost Tea
PPM should be 1250

Notes:
Moved to Week Three Schedule.
Last night I emptied Reservoir and cleaned with water
Added week three nutrient mix, its rather aggressive so I have at slightly weaker mix to start,
and going to top with nutes to bring PPM to chart,
adding only base nutrient mixed in water. (Flora Nova Grow)
Chart calls for 1250 PPM during weeks 3-5.

Turned over grow tray table and adjusted so pots are about 2-3” above floor.
To make room (height) better lowering plants about 2 1/2 ft from where they were.
Lowered light to 22” above growing medium (about where it was in relation to the plants)

Gave everyone a little flush through their Rockwool with the new nute solution using a 30ML syringe.
Foliar Fed with Magic Green @ 10ML per Liter water and a few drops of Dawn. Sprayed until dripped from leaves.
Re-checked PH and PPM (they are recorded above) with my new digital meters.

Co2 bottle is really foaming so moved ventilation fan to a timer.
It (room ventilation) will shut off for 2 hours every 4 hours.
8 hrs with no fan 16 hrs fan running
I will have to keep an eye on temperatures, but should be around 90-95 for when the fan is off and back to 80 with it on.
Using co2 allows for higher temperatures and in fact works best at about 90 from what I have read.

The kids are getting big already.
Amazing how fast they go once they have a good start.
Just sitting and watching them grow sometimes.
Its my new favorite place to just hang out now.

Got a HM TDS meter and a Milwaukee PH meter yesterday.
Ordered last week.

Calibrated as directed

Straight tap water @70F - PH 7.1 - PPM 140
Current Nutrient Solution @72F - PH 5.4 - PPM 1025

Seem to both be working correctly
purchased online PH 24USD TDS 16USD

Also got a remote Water Temp Gauge (made for an aquarium) for the reservoir.
Res temps are slightly higher than I had measured but thats good.
It is now @ 72.3 F

Room (new) Digital Temp/Humidity Gauge has not delivered yet.
