All this talk about amber, well im not waiting....

trichome development isn't a myth, and there is something to be said for the information of thousands of growers before us, but hey - you are the one waiting, and i've heard people say that they really enjoy the head buzz. How are you checking the tric colors? Just using your eye isn't going to do it......and the whole thing about pistils receding seems to be hit or miss in my experience.

What lighting are you using? My WW at 5-6 weeks look 100x thicker and denser than that under a single 400w. Not trying to brag, just trying to get info to help you!

Here's just a little side bud of one of the WW I have in the closet at ~5-6 weeks.

P.S. WW is notorious for being a 60+ to 70day strain indoors so at least you had the waiting part right!

P.P.S. Yes, the bud is so heavy and resiny that it is sideways.. the way I want to be after smoking it.. the type of shit that have you leanin' sideways!

well im using a 400 hps lamp, the seed was taken from a plant, so im guessing its just a bit weak, heres the 1st one i did under the same lamp.

the plant u see pictured, well the one im growing was a seed from that....

im just having a smoke now from the top cola, seeing as its really dry, fk knows why, its only that main top cola, its mega frosty, just hardly any amber.

Do you have high temps or poor ventilation?

I keep mine at 70ish in dark and 80 with lights on. Small fan blowing across the top so I can lower the cooltube to 6-10" from the tops.

Sorry for the blurry camera phone pic. This is most of the plant, all that I could fit in the frame haha.
On the right is Pineapple Express. Left are the widows.

for a while she was at almost 90, then i realised the fan fixing had worked loose i managed to get her down to low 80's.

ive just tried a wee bit from the dry top cola, its actually quite scary , LOL

i think shes very nearly ready.

can i ask, would it be ok to snip off the main top cola, and let the rest play catch up ?

seeing as that top main cola is almost crispy dry, dont ask why , it happened overnight ?

yours looks great btw :)

no way do i have poor ventilation, at a guess id say the combination of high temps and a broken ph meter has caused issues with this plant, but all in all, shes pulled through pretty well and smokes lovely :)

Must of got burnt when fan was down i would say, it would be fine to take ur top cola and let the rest play catch up.
U might also want to chop the cola then chop the dry top off of it

Yeah, may as well. If it is dry it probably won't come back.. especially at this stage. I would cut the minimum of whatever you think has done all it will and leave as much as you think will mature a little more.

Yeah, it's very common to cut off a ripe cola and leave lower branches to mature for another week or so. You are so far along now that you likely won't really hurt your yield or cause hermi issues. In fact, it sounds like your best option.

Happy smoking! :bigjoint:
