Would you consider buying a VERO after reading through some of the posts?

Hello everybody,

I would like to install a dimming option on my panel, i have got two HLG-B drivers, so i will install a potentiometer (100K ohm) on each one, i want to dim them separatly. I found some portentiometer but i'm not sure about the details:

Do i need to choose the "Mono 0.2 W" or the "Mono 0.1 W" ? Is it enough for our use ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Yes, looks like a 100k ohm pot :)
I have seen that with open the current exceeds the rating current. Got 2.25 amps from a 2.15amps LPF-90
Is 10K resistance in series with POT recommended?

Drivers arrived, rack is cut yet to be assembled, waiting on heatsinks.

Going with 3 vero 29 4k's Probably only needed one for my space but I didn't want to order more in the future. Drivers are CEN-100-42 seen them suggested on here and figured I'd try them.

So I couldn't hold out I tried my LED I had fastened to the one heatsink I did receive holy moly is she bright as heck.

Thanks to all the LED head's that showed the ropes and made it so damn easy that even I could do it.

Assembling the rack in the morning and going to get this single LED on there and run it for 24 hours straight and see how it performs. I'm worried about my application of thermal compound I should have just put a glob in the middle instead I tried to spread it and used way more then needed :)

from....http://www.ledlightforyou.com/Downloads/data/Publications/TI-The-Impact-of-Low-Frequency-Ripple-Current-on-LEDs-and-LED-Drivers-10-28-2010.pdf

Summary

Current ripple does not have a major effect on: – Color coordinates, or CCT

Current ripple does effect:

  • – Lumens, Efficacy – but very minor effect

  • – If PDIS is not regulated (as it was in this experiment), increasing the % ripple will increase the LED TJ

Current CFL technology has high levels of optical ripple compared to typical LED levels.

doesn't appear too worrisome..

Oh yeah I got my Vero 29 v2 4000k today. I just need to buy the right driver. I have Meanwell 700ma right now, I need 1400 right? or what you would suggest for 10 of them?
Veros can handle 2.1A easily but the drivers are expensive so you'd better stick with HLG-185H-1400. Adding Veros is simply cheaper than adding drivers, with the side effect of having better efficiency.

Can you, like Supra already did, confirm that (4) V29 work on (1) HLG-185H-C1400? Who else tried that?

it would be nice 2 know that 4 x Vero 29 v2 work with the HLG 185H C1400

Vero's lineup has more red instead of Cree's lineup has more blue
i would rather use cobs who has more red for a grow than some who has more blue in a warm white COB
doesnt matter if they got more lumen/lux / whatever if they are near each other and they are actually

ps: testiclees the buds look really wonderful :D

Bonjour
Interesting affirmation!
Is anyone have both cxa/b and vero at equal wattage?
It will be interesting to know which one make the more gr/W!?$
Have a nice day★
