I recently bought an Aerogarden because it seemed like the best way to get started, and I'm not looking to sell so I don't need to grow too much.
Naturally I've done a lot of research, and in doing so I've been seeing a lot of negative things about the Aerogarden.
Undeterred, I went to a nearby hydro shop to buy the General Hydroponics Flora series; the owner was very helpful, and told me that he thought I'd do well with the Aero, and has offered to help me along every step. I definitely didn't expect him to be that cool!
I already have a couple of plants; one is a fairly impressive chick that I had growing outside until a storm broke her stem. I brought her in, cut the stem and trimmed her leaves-stuck her in the Aero, and she's still alive. Fingers crossed...
Tomorrow I'm starting some Williams Wonder/60 day Wonder. The guy, we'll call him Mr McGrow, said he believes it will do very well!
Please share your Aero and related hydro stories and tips here, and if there's interest in this thread I'll keep you updated
