i got a 4 inch airstone and like a bubble wand type thing its like 8 inches long and makes bubbles too. and ph is at 6 or below always, the one looks a fuckload better now after work i think its cuz that seed part wouldnt pop of cuz the second set of leaves was growing too big inside there . now im seeing more progress on all of them after the nutes, even the short guy is making his way above the pod cover. im sooo stoked!!!

so my sees finally arrived today after a long time of waiting. got like ten free and a wallet tho so its all good haha. time to take out the tomatoes and clean that baby out and grow something worth growing!! anyways i just put em in a ziploc bag for now wrapped in wet paper towels to germinate. as for my current setup its going to be the aerogarden pro200 with the stock lights for now, a airstone in the tank, and a temp gauge to keep an eye on it. i also have ph up/down a ph test kit and have used black gorilla tape to cover all unused holes . im also using white paper on top of the empty spaces to keep it cooler. well sorry for the long ass post but im baked. any help is appreciated

When you flower do you plan on putting the plants under a HPS, CFL, or sticking with the AG stock light?

[QUOTE="SICC";3807473]yeah i feel you on the cash, i used the AG nutes the whole time on my first grow, i liked them, even tho alot of peeps dissed them. They get the job the done, shit i still have a bunch of those tabs here at the crib haha.

I switched to the General Hydroponics Flora Series, only 25 bucs for the nutrient line up, which some with the Micro, Grow, and Flower nutes

Same with me, I have used AG tabs for the entire grow, but switched to flora series also.

Yeah man your airstones are always on 24/7, and when it comes to flowering the plants will just about triple in size, so people just calculate that into how much space they have

sounds like mold, you need to have those things covered 24/7

I would wipe them clean and get everything covered up

Yeah the air stone is all you need, alot of people turn off the pump once the roots reach the water, so thats why your getting the mold, shut that thing off and you should be good

ok sweet sweet thanks, ya all the roots are in the water, so should the sponges stay as wet as they are now or is it mainly to hold the plant up now and all that matters is that the roots stay wet? thanks for all the help man your pretty much a genius haha. my leaves have like some brown spots and shit on em and idk what it is, but all the new growth looks healthy and green, is that something to be worried abou? or as long as the new growth is good im fine? thanks

Yeah all the roots need to do is be in the water to feed and get oxygen from the air stone's, and just the bubble popping on the surface is enough to keep the sponges wet, so when you have the pump on as well, that's where the mold come's into play in that there is too much water, and with all the light and heat from the lights creates the mold.
As for th spots, it would be easier for me to see a pic, but it just sounds like they may be a lil nute burned, but if the new growth is doing good they should be fine
