they were like $70, not too sure how big the roots will get yet, but my guess would be smaller than a regular sized plant...

Thanks, buddy...

What would be a good way to stress only one plant thats in the exact same environment as the hopefull females i.e. aerogarden setup...

Maybe to moderatley cut fan leaves from early age every so often? making sure not to cut too much and kill the plant...

what do you think?
Thanks again
Peace

Personally i dont think i would try to stress one of the plants into being a male. I think you would prob end up herming it if it was a female and then end up with herm seeds. I dont know alot about breeding but i believe thats what would happen. From what ive read the lowryder strains tend to lean toward the male side, as far as male/female ratios go so if you grow them normally you should get a male with out much problem.

Can anyone else with experience with lowryders verify that?

Hey thx for the advice sir... I think you may be right, becuase im about 75% sure two of them are males, its been 18 days from seed and I can see some preflowers that are looking kinda male-ish, theyre still pretty small and hard to tell but I'm pretty sure....

The other one has no signs yet not even any little bumps at the preflower area...This one also is the only one displaying spotting along the outside parts of the fan blades...I've got spots like this on the 1,3, and 5 bladed leaves... the rest of the plant looks super healthy, not too concened yet, maybe this is a female trait... the 5 bladed set of leaves only had a couple spots on em yesterday and then this morning I looked and it was almost covered around the outside perimeter, it's been 3 days since I changed water and nutes and it was fine for three days....just a little mysterious but i think it will be ok...

Thanks again,

Peace

From everything i've read on lowryder, the males show a little earlier about day 19, and the fems will show about day 21-22 so my guess would be that the ones starting to show are the males. i would think youll know within another day or two

Tek have you thought about taking out the water pump after the roots are submerged in water. I have a plant about 3ft tall in the aero, took out the water pump to make more room for the roots and my rockwool stays moist from the bubbles that pop from the air stones. It gives you alot more space for your roots.

sure if you have an airstone or somthing else keeping the water moving....maybe not even then as long as you change it once a week...

But i don't think I'd do it...

Thanks pal, that was my original intention when I first bought it and first posted on here and I'm so glad to see what it has done to people, it's pretty cool...

My goal is for everyone who smokes to be able to know how to grow and in an easy and fun way...it's on it's way...

I use 2 air diffusers in my rez, and they seem to move the water around quite well. Also the buubles popping at the surface keep the rockwool moist. I am only growing 1 plant i started a clone in the ag. It had about 7 weeks veg and is now in its 3rd week flower plant is about 3ft tall. The roots almost fill the rez and i have 6 weeks of flower left. I removed the pump after i believe 3 or 4 weeks veg time. Plant has done much better without it and enjoyed the extra root space. I also only used the ag lights for about a week after the clone took root then moved the rez to the room with a 400w metal halide, and now is under 400w hps. My plant is huge with nice colas and i expect a normal yield as with my other setup. I will not be using the ag for maryjane anymore but all in all not dissapointed. I will use it for what it is meant now, not just cuz my wife is mad just not useful for my needs. But on the otherside i can see this thing being a decent stealth hydro setup. Or can be good for anybody who only wants 1 large or 2 small plants. I will say this thing is great for clones.

Damn 1000 views in a week of posting, I'm glad to see so many people interested in this....so here you go..

Ok today marks 21 days from poppin the seeds in...

The one in the back right is a male for sure, and it's strong and healthy as you can see...

The one in the middle, still doesn't have many areas where there is signs of sex, but it the few that it does it looks like another male....

Then the one in the back left which is the one with the spotting...it also seems to be the runt of the three I wonder if it could be due to the spotting or if there is any kind of corolation...It has zero signs of sex still....not even a little bump at the preflower area....I'm hoping this means it's a female...

Wonder why it's taking so long to show sex....even the middle one.....The one in the back right is bustin out with balls everywhere....

Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think...

Thanks
Peace

P.S. check out the comparison with the last pics I posted on the first page exactly one week ago.....

wow tek, really nice lookin plants! I just set my aero back up after seeing this. I dont have the deluxe hood, but 5 42watt cfls, and 2 25watt'ers should do the trick on my 3 plants

gl man, I'll be watchin!

Hey TEK i just wanted to say thanks for all of your great threads on the AG and show you my latest grow. I wouldn't have had such good results if weren't for all of the great info i have gotten from your threads. My large plants on the right are ICE and White Widow and are about 20 days old. The smaller plants on the left are Romulan, NLxSkunk#1 and WW.
