Rando = Genovese basil , Current Age =83 days
Rocklock = Mint , Current Age = 85 days

i will post the final dry weight after they cure for some good time, id estimate now it is about an ounce maybe slightly more. it was a great experience and i definitely learned a lot, hoping for bigger and better results in the future. Thinking about upgrading my equipment if i can save enough up, for now thinking of vegging and topping one plant in the Aerogarden to try to get better results. Thanks for taking an interest and hope to see you during my second grow!

thanks = ) glad you stuck around till harvest time. So i guess in conclusion im mildly happy with the setup, i feel like i accomplished more than people give the Aerogarden credit for, although not by a huge margin. It is a nice machine for an absolute beginner but now i feel somewhat restricted, if anything i suppose i will use it for seedlings/clones. Next grow i think if i will give a try at growing one plant in veg a bit longer, and work on topping/fimming correctly. Thanks for the support along the way bud!

I have one of those unit but thought it was a POS before I saw your results, nice going. Grew nice basil for sure

i have a question based on your experience.

If i just wanted to use the unit for germination and veg, how long would the unit be good for. I am going to try and germinate two seeds in the attached set up.

Will i be able to go the full 8 weeks of veg?

I might use the small pot per seed or the big one.

Nice grow. I have a cfl ag but it's only for cloning.

Hmm, I only vegged for about 31 days which was around 12" tall from the base(giggity!). The roots are your biggest enemy hear, since having them go longer they will all entangle with each other. As far as above ground, I think with proper training techniques 8 weeks may be do able. 1-2 plants was definitely enough to exhaust the AG's full resources. Those roots clogged the hell out of the filter of the built in pump. For sure get an auxiliary pump with some airstones. Seemed like it helped a bit. The Unit should be decent enough for small vegging/cloning/seedlings. Good luck! Hope I answered your question.

Final dry weight of my two harvested plants after around 87 days from seed = 27grams , just shy of an ounce.

I am just about to switch my grow closet (literally) to 12/12 for flower and hope i can germinate and veg three plants under the Aero light, in soil, in that brown plastic pot shown above.

If i can get 8 weeks of veg and 2 of germination, the grow closet will be ready for another 12/12 flower.

Wish me luck, may i hijack this thread with my results, will that be an issue?

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood. Thought u were using the res for dwc.Yea it will do OK for vegging and cloning, I got a bit more growth adding in cfl side lighting, but I think it will be fine for the first 3 weeks or so. After that more light may help(subjective opinion). Please do, this thread is about done for first grow, I can post a few pics of my next cycle if anyone is interested. Just upgraded to a 300w marshydro led light, gonna install and overhaul my grow. I'll be checking in on your grow too, stay high!

i am using cree 3070s, they look awesome, looks like a spaghetti fight in the closet but when the door is closed, it loks awesome

I've got to stay tuned. I was planning on getting the 300w mars hydro. I've seen a couple grows with it and it should do great in a cab.

loving the marshydro so far, but ill hold on for the real test come harvest time. Heres an album with a few pics before i get everything fully setup, expect a transplant in the next few days to a week. right now im cleaning the clay pellets to improve their PH stability.

Looks good man. I have to postpone my purchase thanks to Christmas and the kids. But I'll have to get like 3 of these guys.

Seems like a really solid light at a steal for a price. Really loving the water farm by GH also, got a full kit for 45$ from my local hydro shop. They want like 70 at eBay and amazon so I guess I lucked out. Merry Christmas friend!

Merry Christmas to you guys too. I haven't seen anyone complain about the light. it's full spectrum and that's what gives it some value I guess. For a hundred bucks... Shit.... Why not. Worst come to worst it'll end up as supplement light when ever I can build a room.

if you can bro next purchase for a light try and get a dimmable 400w and run it on 250 the heat wont be that bad and it would be ideal to run the led and 250 side by side
