Day 17 Update
sorry ive been lagging on the updates lately. Todays just a quick update for progress this time i have a high quality imgur album to view. More info inside the imgur album(read descriptions) thanks for taking an interest!

Day 21 Update


-Added some minor LST
-PH sitting at 5.7-5.8 very steadily
-Working on getting more lights (2700k CFL for flowering)
-Need to add a fan in their to circulate more air
-Ordered a pump with airstone, should have it tomorrow

Rando = Genovese basil , Current Age =19 days
- Any idea what causing the browning on the tips of the leaves?

Rocklock = Curly Parsley , Current Age = 21 days
-Still very unsure about this one, its growing but im not sure if its even worth keeping around at this point. Really need some input for this one.

If i had to guess what was causing the leaves on that one plant to curl (they seem to be dying too), i would say it is nute burn, but the main part of the plant seems to be doing fine.

I you are going to have to cull any of those due to lack of room, i would cull that one to another pot and see what's up.

The other plants look great

Day 26 Update
-Added 2 Light fixtures, 1 on each side (23w cfl ,1600lumens x2) so total will be 6400 lumes at 92w lights are 2700k
-Will add a timer when i flip to 12/12 , since im running 24/0 still ill just leave the lights plugged in for now
-Added a pump w/ airstones
-Still need a fan to drop the humidity before i can flower RH sits somewhere like 60-70%

Sorry i didn't reply sooner, yea its looking pretty bad. I think I might be forced to pull and scrap that plant. I have no other grow equipment to separate it and keep it going. Think two plants should be fine, my only concern is if i pull it now and the "rando" turns out to be male then i will be down to one plant..

Now that you understand the basics of hydroponics, I recommend setting up a basic sterilite tub DWC unit.

Get some 3 inch netcups, some hydroton or growstones, peat cubes, aquarium tube, air pump and air stones. Of course you also need the plastic totes/bins and something to cut holes.

That aerogarden could be used for cloning, although I'd eventually replace even the led part with modern leds.

I dont think it was from underfeeding, the other plants got all the same food and water from the res. maybe since it was close to the pump it absorbed too much? maybe i choked it by not cutting the grow sponge in the pod enough. Either way, I just pulled it and it is now deceased hoping for better results from the other two (praying for female plants) , I definitely considered using AG for cloning/seedlings only and transfer to like 5 gallon bucket DWC system. At the moment that is unreasonable for my budget but will be strongly considering it when I stabilize a bit better. Thanks for the input as always, Its refreshing to hear many different points of view.

yea, since then ive flushed and been using very low strength nutes with mostly just pure water

I use R/O water check this jalapeno pepper plant I'm growing in my aerogarden extra (CFL version) I go with general hydroponic 3 part and use 1/2 strength.

-Added another light socket splitter to add in another 23w CFL ( total 5 x 23w , 2700k)
-Changed Res , sitting at about 5.7ph and 275ppm(will slowly increase with each other watering)

Day 33 of Flowering

Any input on what happened here(the purple discoloration on Rando)? from what i read, i think its nitrogen overdose.

Can be genetic, purple plants turn purple like grand daddy purp , theres a lot of plants with that genetic. Do your temps drop below 65F at all?

Yes in the early morning, have read temps as low as 59F..how bad is that? At what point do I need to introduce more heat?

Day 46 of Flowering
Hey whatsup RIU , so we are getting toward the end of this cycle. And its taking a lot of my restraint to not want to smoke some of it already! im hoping i can chop in the next few weeks. So i may begin flushing soon, maybe even flush for 1-2 weeks? does a longer flush hurt anything toward the end?
