It's an AeroGarden6, page3 of the manual.

Step (F) there is a pic of the "Air Coupling"

No wonder I never understood why you guys added air. I just thought it was for a second in case the first one died. My deck is flat and has no connections to it.
My pods are 4 inches or so. They set one inch in the water.
The manual also tells you that the "air pumps will remain on 7/24"

Thought I was going nuts for a minute there. Good weed but not that good.
Sorry for the confusion there...

Peace

I have never seen a water pump in an AeroGarden. I have a AG6 and it came with an airpump NO water pump. That is what Aeroponics is about "AIR".
If your came with a water pump I'd like to see that.
Not saying they never made them but their site is all about air pumps in them. Maybe?

Peace
Can't help it that you've never seen one in an AG. May be that your 6 model has an air pump, but don't try and tell me what I have. My pro 200, which is only 6 weeks old, has a water pump. Go to the AG site and look at trhe manuals of the other models and you'll see that they do have a water pump.

Cheers and thanks for the learning experience...

Here you go... you can see the air stones that I added... and the water pump is located behind the foam pre-filter...

It is used to pump the solution up and around the channels, delivering it to each site with a little spigot...

I have not used it since the roots touched the water...

So they finally listened to what people were doing and changed their system to accommodate...

And just so you know, the name is AEROGARDEN, but they are a 100% Deep Water Culture Hydroponic system...

In areo, there are misters spraying the roots, which are suspended in air, not in water...

AG growers are doing DWC or Bubbleponics as some call it...

Cheers...

I am a n00b at growing, and this is my first go at it. I have read through all 140 posts and I still have a couple question.

Do you guys suggest emptying out the Res ever during the whole grow process? I have FF nutes on the way and looking at the feeding schedule on the FF site, it says "Reservoir change" every couple of weeks. Do you guys think I should change the whole res every 2 weeks or just add water/nutes when it runs low?

I am about 3 weeks in using my AG with bag seeds and have 5 plants growing that are about 4" tall using standard AG nutes. Planning on Fimming in another week. Is there a standard height/weeks that people start flowering at?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Here's what you said:

"I have never seen a water pump in an AeroGarden" and before that you were saying "....that's why they call it aeroponics, because it has an air pump."
Ok they do make ones with water pumps, your right i'm wrong
and they make them with air pumps only, I'm right your wrong.
So, it looks to me we are even.
Peace
