Sorry I haven't been updating in awhile guys. Honestly barely anything has changed. The two that sprouted leaves early are slowly growing... I believe all of them are slowly growing. That's the key word though... SLOWLY.. I'm hoping it's just cause the plants are all focusing on growing roots for the time being and not growing leaves etc.

If you read the first page and my first post, you can learn about what i'm doing.
I'm using the general hydroponics 3 part growing nutrients.

For whoever posted last on the 4th page... the lowest set of little leaves being yellow isnt the worst thing in the world... it happens. If they whole plant is yellow that is a problem. Perhaps try growing your plants a week or two WITHOUT adding nutrients at all. I haven't added any to mine yet... I think I'm going to after 2 weeks (maybe 1.5 if I get ancy).

For sprickelfrits: I'm using cheap CFLs in all the other lamps. Two of them have like 13W CFLs and the one in the middle is 20 or 23W. Weird I know, but it's cause the other lamp's have stupid fixtures that are hard to come by -_- (GU24).

I've just been keeping the pH as close to 5.7 as possible and really haven't been doing anything. I'll keep everyone updated if (hopefully when) they start to take off.

I am using GH 3 Part. I have used Fox Farms but they seemed to clog up the pumping system.
has anyone else had an issue with fox farm clogging the pump? Just want to know cause im ordering everything on next payday......

one last thing im confused on is which aerogarden to buy.... the elite + or the pro 200??? I plan on just growing lowryder 2.

I was reading up on AG's today, the elite 6+ and the pro200 are basically identical, I don't think it matters which one you get. I am thinking of doing AG grows and I am gonna go with the Pro200

I decided to go with the stealth bubbleponics system, around the same price, but alot more space.

Any updates on the grow?

Hey guys. Again, not a huge change. Lots of roots are starting to grow out, though, which is promising. I'm waiting until 2 weeks to add any nutrients (I read that on an aerogarden grow guide).

To dopeboy: it depends what stage of growth your plant is in and what CFL you use. Different CFLs (soft, warm, full spectrum, daylight, etc). I'm not a CFL expert, but I believe that you want a full spectrum/daylight CFL for vegetative growth, and the soft/warm is best for flowering. It won't hurt to use one type of CFL for the full grow. A mix of both is probably best.

Any as to when? Why not always? The more light, the more nutrient uptake, the more growth.

I will take pictures sometime soon and post them. Hopefully things will be getting more interesting soon :D

Hey guys. My soil grow is finally starting to show signs of flowering. I forced them to flower when they were still very immature so it took 3 or 4 weeks for them to preflower. I've ID'd two females so far (7 plants total). I can't tell whatsoever on the other plants yet...

My main question is... how long do I have to kill all the males before the females become endangered of being pollinated??

Also, I will post pictures soon on the aerogarden grow as soon as I can find the attachment for the computer to upload the pictures.

P.S. The plants, although all planted at the same time (and all bagseed from the same type of pot).... are very variable. Some have different soils and have had a lot more stress than others... etc. I started this soil grow before I knew much... so... I guess my point is, just because I can see some signs of flowering on two, trust me, it doesnt mean they all should be showing yet. What's my time gap here? How long do I have to preserve these females virginity?

But that's the thing. Pretty much from everything I've read up, the only way to tell the difference between a male and female is the white hairs. The preflowers pretty much look the same... the white hairs are the big difference. But... if I don't know if all of my plants are maturing at the same rate, it's hard to tell whether something is a male or whether it just hasn't grown any hairs yet.

This is why I'm asking what kind of time frame I've got... if it's more than a week or two, that way I can wait a week or two and anything not showing hairs yet will be killed. If it's only a few days... I'll have to start separating them immediately as I don't know if they're all maturing at the same rate
