ADVANCED NUTRIENTS: Jungle Juice!

Are you saying Jack's Citrus is better than Classic? Not trying to argue. It's just that, you've said we should "just do the math." If you loved Citrus, I imagine it was for some quantifiable reason. Likewise, you've advocated how inexpensive Jack's is. If there was something quantifiably better about Citrus, what's wrong with spending $25 (discarding your Classic)? That amortizes out to about $1.50 per month. Is it not that much better?

I know it sounds like I'm trying to turn your own argument against you. Perhaps I am, but it's just to understand where you would draw the line. For example, people say Golden Monkey Magic [whatever] is worth $300 a gallon because they grow cash crops and it increases yield enough that it's profitable.

Seems like the same reasoning, just different scales if you think Citrus is better enough to spend $1.50 more per month by aborting your use of Classic. It would also validate the principle that nutrients can be crop specific, or different ratios work better. If you're not willing, then I wonder what you love about it.
The reason why It seems many people moved to citrus over the classic is because it has lower Phosphorous than classic but higher nitrogen than the blossom. Citrus at a 20-10-20 ratio versus classic duo at a 20-20-20 then using the 10-30-20 blossom to flower which many people found to sometimes have issues keeping leaves healthy and green throughout the grow....using the citrus 20-10-20 throughout the whole grow cycle was not only extremely easy and fail proof but kept everything nice and healthy right up to harvest. The alternative is to switch back to the classic from the blossom after final stretch in flower which is what I used to do before switching to citrus

I liked citrus as it included a small amount of magnesium which with long flowering strains (depending on medium) could he depleted towards the end of flowering. I also think the lower P actually works well in flower.

Every plant is different, that's for sure but the overall parameters stay the same. Some plants or more sensitive than other, but I've yet to burn a plant with Jacks only. You'd really need to be over feeding to do so, and I'm more of a fan of the philosophy less is more. I can always feed more if necessary. I don't push plants past a 1000 ppm with anything. No point except to saturate your medium in salts, cause lock outs or an imbalance. If you want bigger, tighter buds (which is genetic to a degree) add more lights.

No one's saying you can't make it work with other products. By the way, I loved Jacks Citrus and need to order some again. Just hard to justify buying something I don't really need when I have a half a tub of Jacks that will last another year and a half.

The point is you can be saving money and be using a higher grade product. Jacks isn't the only one. Shit you could use miracle grow and do better than most AN grows I've seen. It's just you are buying into marketing and hype, instead of science. I'd bet any amount of money AN spends more on advertising and their bottles than they do on the ingredients.

Feel free to keep buying your watered down 0-0.4-1 or whatever with a whole kit of bottles. My point is it can be done cheaper, and be less of a hassle than that nonsense
I'd be curious to see your Jack's flower. You take a lot of effort hating An. Anyone buying there products and effing it up would probably grow something effed with other nutes as well, haha.

Again no one is hating on you or any other grower, the gripe purely falls with the ass juice companies and their shitty marketing schemes. And I'd be willing to bet that Tonightyou and I can take 10 guys here who failed with their poo juices, give them a tub of jacks and a 20 minute lecture on basic common sense botany and GUARANTEE you all 10 could grow top quality bud without a single hitch.

Most peeps blame the nutes not the one running them lol
That's correct, however I don't care how good you are no one is going to produce high quality dense nugs with a nute ratio that has its phosphorous level through the roof and no nitrogen like some of these snake oils with ratios of 1-49-1. You need to have some level of balance. Plants are antagonistic if you overdue one nutrient you will lock out another. I learned more about growing weed (and any other plant) taking an elective course in botany in college and through experience than I have ever learned from a forum.

I also have used SOME of these additives none where to boost yield needless to say some where worth the crazy price others were not

I will say to the feed charts thing

I have found more peeps fuck up when they think they're" good"and deviate from feed charts
only place I disagree a lil not completely as some feed chatts can be a bit much for some strains and not enough for others

I can without reservation recommend
gh face it they are here to stay

botanicare was also very good

and I didnt have any bad results from adv nutes

I wont metioned who or what ive tried (lots) but I can recommend these

as to the additives most were so so. Some were totally worth there price
but I wont list them as they are not noob friendly
I will say some were MAGIC

Balance is a beautiful thing
That the simple fact of it. Plants need balance just like our bodies, if you feed yourself sugar everyday expect to have what we in the medical field call diabetes in a few years (called the suga's to the common man, cold$smoke )...if you feed the plants virtually all phosphorous and no nitrogen or potassium expect problems to occur because you don't have balance

I will say to the feed charts thing

Try jacks citrus then let's chat again. When you get the same or better results, didn't waste a 1/10 your time mixing all those additives together or burnt a hole in your wallet buying their plastic bottles, their water and their advertisements you will thank all of us jacks users. FYI AN has been around for what, 5 years or so? jacks has been in business for over 40 years....and they are definitely not going anywhere. They don't need fancy bottles with ridiculous green faces in sunglasses on them called bud candy or bud blaster to be an extremely successful nutrient company.

I didnt even go to college

can you tell lol
Nothing wrong with not going to college. I'm almost done with a Masters but it's not for everyone and learning isn't just sitting in a class room. Some of the most intelligent people I've met never had a college degree.

Unfortunately in our labor market, not having one is akin to leaving about a million or more dollars or earning potential on the table over ones lifetime

Very nice mate! You dry then trim? Have you have up hash making yet?
No I do about 75-80 percent wet trim then trim any sugar leaf that doesn't suck back into the bud when drying. Yes I make fresh frozen bubble with my trim although there is always very little trim on this strain of widow most of the sugar leafs are always sucked back into the plant when drying. I find that dry trim all it does is cause you to lose crystals during trim having to get your scissor in there just knocks me off...I try to do all my trim wet
