Advanced Nutrients & Foxfarm

Hey Rollitup, im on Week 3 Day 3 of Flowering and I'm currently feeding my plants: Big Bud, Nirvana, Bud Candy, Connoisseur Part A&B, Sensizym, B-52 and Jungle Juice Micro all by Advanced Nutrients, however I also have the Foxfarm Soluble Tri-Pak(Open-Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha-Ching) that I used for an outdoor crop and I was wondering if I could add the Beastie Bloomz and eventually the Cha-Ching to the mix without burning my plants, some of you will say there is only one way to find out but id rather not burn my plants in flowering.

That will cook them fast! P&K overload!!!!

Im slowly replacing a couple of things from AN, you saved my ass dude, I was LITERALLY about to start scooping the Beastie Bloomz in.

I would say that it is more than enough boosters, sugars, emnzymes, vitamins which is debatable if it is any good or not.

Ya...thats a lot of additives.

I use sensi bloom a+b, b52, big bud only...im in promix.

I think the bud candy and big bud is redundant. Should only need one or the other....

As for doing far better for far lesss... i dunno... i would say you might be able to do as well for paying less... but not better. AN is good stuff, but theyvmake you pay for it...

Damn right they do...

I said fuck it and added 1/4 tsp to the gallons that im gonna feed tonight, none of the stuff im using besides the Beastie Bloomz and Eventually the Cha-Ching has a high NPK ratio, its only fed once a week anyways, and it says on the back if mixed with other nutes then use 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp. I may be on to something using the Foxfarm solubles and the Advanced Nutrients liquids in flowering. We'll see.

The advanced stuff works for me. I have had sucess with iguana grow and bloom as base nutrients. I also use big bud during the specified weeks. And Overdrive after I stop big bud in those specified weeks. I suppliment with botanicaire calmag, sweet raw as a sugar, and silica blast through mid bloom. This is in happy frog soil mixed with perlite.

You are spot on that in adding beastie bloom and ch ching to all that, is going to roast your plant. Id use either Nirvana or Big Bud alone as my PK boost. I use Organic B, but I question if plants even benefit from that or B52. Ive read B vitamin is not good during bloom so I only use it rarely like once a month in veg. Even though your plant seems mature and able to handle allot....Id really be weening of the extras at this point. A good PPM meter is beneficial to test all those ingredients in your soup before watering! I dont ever like to go over 1250-1300ppm (when adding everything in the kitchen sink). And after week 3 of bloom, more like 1000ppm or less. At this point Id be trying to keep it down to base nutrient, a booster, and a sugar. Less is more. Id lower the PPM by excluding the nirvana, calmag, silica, b vitamin, enzyme, and micro. At this point, I basically roll with 3/4 strength base nutrient, booster, and a sugar until harvest. As if that isnt enough, sometimes I will swap the base nutrients with a nice tea every other feeding in late bloom.

Why not better? AN is over priced hype that preys on newbs. Salts are salts and you could make your own for a fraction of the price.

So what?

The DIY LED guys say the same thing about LED lights. But they forget... that takes time in research and construction and running around finding all the parts and tools. Plus you need hand dexterity. Not everbody an be bothered with all that shit and place a value on their time.

Same goes for nutes, maybe to a lesser degree, but still....

I would rather pay a few dollars more to save my time and energy for learning other aspects of growing. And i would rather spend a few extra dollars on a product that i can be confident that works very well. AN is good stuff. Nobody denies that.

So... i spend a few bucks more while i fine tune my environment, get better at cloning and experiment with other things. Money well spent as far as i am concerned...

And when i get to a point where i care to bother with fuckin around with nutes then i will. I the mean time, AN helps me grow some great weed...

All salt based fertilizers are the same thing the only difference is you might need to PH them unlike the AN PH perfect series. You are just paying a lot extra for the same thing because it says Advanced Nutrients on the side of the bottle. They work good, but all salt based fertilizers are easy to use for newbies.

Cool. Ive always said AN is easy and good for newbs. It is what i started with and even though ive moved past the newb stage i sticm with it because i trust it. Ive tried a couple others (DM and Botanicare) and i was really disappointed in both. So back to AN... for now.

Thing is... i know a number of veteran growers out my way that stick with it too. These guys have been at it for decades and seen/tried it all. And yet they still stick with AN....

So to each their own....

I support you having the right to buy what you want. If you're happy then that's all that matters.

I just don't spend money with companies that take advantage of people. There are many ferts out there that are just as good at a lower price.

AN's business model is to take advantage of people that are new to cannabis growing. They make false claims and tell you all these bull shit stats to get you to buy the product.

The original owner is a child molester. He is no longer an owner but I'm sure he is still making bank.

Jesus, I've heard that rumor, didnt know it was true. Either way, the nutes work, theyre pricy, but im replacing some AN stuff with other things I've used.

ANs business model is the same as any other. Maximize your profits. Thats all. They put out a great product and charge top dollar for it. No harm in that.

As for the child molesting. Ive heard the rumours and a that. Not convinced that its all true. Big Mike was a gangster... just like almost all in this business (until recent years) because you had to be, at his level. Same with Arjan. You have to deal with shady people and they have l kinds of methods of taking people down. As for big Mike... dont know what the truth is there and dont really care. All the people that have been around in this business for a while have their skeletons...including extortion, even murder...

So i refuse to judge others on shady evidence.

I've seen the video of him saying it was a lie.
I don't know that he did it is true.

It is truth he was charged with it.

They flat out lie in some of thier claims.

I'm organic anyways. I pay 0 dollars for my nutrients.

Who knows what the truth is. What i do know is how gangsters operate. Big Mike was hitting it big with AN in legit business and his backers wanted a bigger share of the pie. He resisted. So they forced him out and took it all. Typical. He probably gets some residuals and is very lucky he didnt burn to death in an SUV, in some warehouse district.

Only a few will understand that last sentence....
