I use the sensi grow and bloom along with voodoo juice big bud carboload overdrive ryno skin and bud factor X. I get all of it from eBay lowest price first. yes AN nutes are worth the 80 bucks I spend in the smaller kits.. yea 80 for all of it.. cheap cheap cheap.. Ive seen a few AN nute post, and wile Ive read them all. My garden has grown 6 inches and has put on more bud.. I mean at the end of the grow its all about the buds trics right? There is no such thing as the perfect nutes.. all of them have pro/cons.. I'm all about making fat potent cannabis , and using whatever it takes to get that..

see 6 inches.. The Elvis doesn't lie.. this garden you see will cost 80 in nutes and then power is another story..but ill get good numbers for $80 in AN nutes.. I feel like I will unless I kill them using AN nutes!!

quit spending all that money on expensive nutes, learn how to train your plants and you will get huge buds. Nutes really are a Very small part of a great grow.
Lighting, temp,rh,gardening skills are way more important.
the elvis should learn the LST!!

So are you saying it takes $80 in plant food to grow those 12 plants?

Just out of curiosity, I calculated how many plants I could flower for 60 days in promix with $80 of 'normally priced' plant food. I calculated 262 plants. Your plants look fine but you're making things much harder than they need to be.

I calculated the plant food's cost per milliliter, then knowing how many mls/gal I feed my plants at each watering, I estimated the number of times I water my plants in flower over a 60 day period (I guessed 23 because I'm almost watering every other day). That number gave me the cost of flowering one plant for 60 days. I divided that by 80 and saw that $80 can grow a lot of plants.

As for the food I use, I use DynaGro's Foliage Pro. I don't use PK boosters nor do I add calmag because neither are needed. I do add a little silica though, literally a few drops per gallon, but did not factor that cost in. I just calculated the silica use at 7 cents per plant per 60 days.

But I don't do what I do because it's cheap, I use what I use because it performs better than anything I've used before.

Ill read more about DynaGro's Foliage Pro but my thing is if its not broke I'm not going to change it.. growing the way you do i would need to read a few books...bongsmilie

Believe it or not, there are a few foods out there that are more or less plug-and-play. I'd bet that MaxiGrow from start to finish would perform at least as well as you're doing now. Check out the Amazon reviews, 95% of users rated it 4 or 5 stars. I can tell by the NPK content that it would be a nice performer.

But I get it, if you're happy with what you're doing now, stick with it. But as someone who used to make things complicated and expensive, I'm just letting you know there are other options. And when I simplified things for myself, my results were better.

Connoisseur is the biggest rip off in the whole seedy nutrient landscape.
I understand how one might feel towards Nutrient lines. There are many "smoke and mirrors" out there and a lot of hype for nothing. Some growers use different techniques with lighting and growing medium, therefore the selection of nutrients may vary. So I can understand how one can say this line of nutrients is better than this, but until a full review of a product is done it is hard to say which is better. For you Conno may not work in your applications.

Well lets put it this way, at the astrological price of CONnoisseur i would want at least 25% harvest increase but you don't see any benefit above any other manufacturers bases, Homebrewer did a side by side and the CONny did shockingly bad.

It sounds as though you are no longer using as much Protekt as you once were. Do you find yourself needing to add ANY pH UP now if you are not using as much Protekt? Or is the soiless mixture buffering enough to where you see no reason for it?

That's a good question. I found that my medium seems to buffer the pH just fine so I just mix my stuff and go with no attempt to target a pH range. But I also found that too much protekt can make healthy leaves almost hard and brittle. Silica seems to build up in these plants which is why I use probably a 1/4 ml/gal these days. At every watering, that seems to be plenty of silica.

That's the same thing I noticed as well. Thanks for the quick reply.

A 25% yield increase from just nutrients would be revolutionary. I had tried Vegamatrix, Sensi and Conn in the same harvest. Sensi bombed, Vega had great smell and taste but the yield was just smaller than Conn. The bud size was larger with conno and the quality remained. Vega is nearly organic so there are the benefits but in the testing it was found that the crop needed MORE than recommended. This run doing Synthetic till about 3-4 weeks out from final and finish with organics to help with flushing and boot the quality. We will see.....

Not True. I paid 22$ for the connoisseur a&b. Since I don't add food every watering, the 500ml set is enough to keep me blooming several plants all year round. 22$ for a years worth of food is cheap imo. If I grew on a large scale or hydro, then perhaps it would be best to find a lower cost nutrient. However, I've been using AN for years, and it's not expensive when small bottles go the distance

I'm not sure what type of homebrewer test you are referring to, but connoisseur should only be used by experienced growers who have had good results with Sensi. conn is very sensative, difficult to dial in, and should not be applied the same way as other brand name nutes. Careless feeding will leave you with low yielding and leafy crops

After a couple of runs, I think I have Conni figured out!
That's a great system doing the synthetic-organic-pure water.
I've been doing this on my last run doing a 12/12 from seed experiment.
I'm using:
Connoissuer A&B (Old Label)
I use a little less of "A" unless I need N/Calcium etc.
.5-1.0 ml A to 1.5-2.0 ml B
Then as additives:
Bud Candy
Piranha
Tarantula
Voodoo Juice
Nirvana
Rhino Skin
Hey, just curious what you think specifically about Rhino Skin?
