Thanks, mr curly. For some reason I thought you were here already, my bad! Better late than never! Glad to have you aboard. I'm entering week 8 tomorrow and began flushing the strawberry cough and ken's kush yesterday. Will continue with straight water for 3 or 4 more days along with a 24-48 period in the dark before harvesting.

Official update tomorrow.

Thanks sobs, and welcome to the show. I have a few other threads scattered around riu you can search for. And yeah, theres a good coco growers unite thread in the indoor section, or just letme know if you have any questions. I got the most useful coco information by signing up as a member at canna.com and reading their members only docs, I highly recommend checking that out for anyone wanting good solid info on growing with coco.

Start of Week 8 Update. Very happy with where I'm at. The only thing I wish was different was the kush, if I could re-do those over I would be looking at a much nicer harvest over the next couple weeks. Speaking of harvest, it's only a matter of days for the strawberry cough, ken's kush, and atomic northern lights. The kush and cough have been getting flushed for the last two days and will get another couple before going in the dark for 24-48 hours. The northern lights is just a few days behind, they will get flushed starting next watering. Then probably by this time next week, it will just be down to the two sour diesels and the party cup. Not sure how long those will take to finish.

Right now as things are starting to wrap up, I'm trying to decide what to do after harvesting. Should I let the sour diesel finish up by themselves or should I go get some clones and just start flowering them right away? Should I do some 12/12 from seeds? I'm also pretty sure I will only be doing 2 strains max next round and either 2 or 4 plants but grow them out larger. There's a lot of different scenarios to play with and I'm not sure which way I'm leaning. I'll have to decide soon though. Someone please decide for me...

More pics through out the week leading up to harvest. Then I'll post some harvest/drying pics and report in with dry weight followed by a preliminary smoke report. And lastly, cure for as long as possible before diving in.

It's so fun watching other peoples harvests come in. I'm finishing up some caramel ice, that strain is highly under rated. Everything looks damn tasty!

I was going through your pictures and I got to the anl and thought, "man, that's got some decent trichs." Then I flip on through and got to that strawberry cough close up and was like, "WHOA! That's way frostier than the anl." Then I hit Ken's Kush.....That thing looks like your rolled it around in powdered sugar.

Damn fine job puff. Massive cola's... I'm still in love with that SC. Simply amazing...

So the tent... No idea on how long with those diesels eh? 12/12 from seed might take a little too long putting you in the same position waiting for them to harvest? I think I'd go with the clones straight to flower... (Then again your 12/12 plants seem to flower real fast so....)

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. Hope you stick around til the end and even follow my next journal.

Yo amaximus! I appreciate the compliments. Very happy with the size and density of the colas right now. Hope they don't lose any of those characteristics during the drying phase.

So I'm thinking at least two more weeks on the sour d. Never grown the strain before so I'm not really sure. Just going to let it run its course. Good point about the 12/2 from seed and having to wait again. I think thats making me lean toward clones and just flipping right away. Only thing about that is I'm trying to go with larger plant's next time and not sure if that will be possible with flipping clones right away...unless I can find some good teens (+14 inches) of some strains that sound good. I'll see whats available in a couple days after theres more room up in there. Also, upgrading to a 3x3 tent soon for better environmental control. Looking forward to that! Goodbye tiny closet!

Hi puff thanks for sharing, grow journals like yours inspire mr to leap on the LED bandwagon. Was wondering what your review of the[h=1]Diamond Series XML - 10W CREE XML was. Im looking to get a tent 2x2x5 with a bubblponicsgrow ready kit. Im very torn in my decision on what LED to get. I was set on the 270w Blackstar chrome but recently discovered some bad reviews on the chome model, blackstar def has alot of good reviews and their website has a new EFS 4 2013 model that looks good. I just discovered the Diamond series 10W xml and wondered which would u reccoment for a first time stealth grower? Thanks [/h]

Hey Rooster, thanks for stopping in and for the kind words. Hmmm, my review of the XML...well, I like it for being only 130w. I think it would be tough to find a light lower than 150w that you can say blows it away. The nugs under it are very nice, penetration is good on it, not sure about what the perfect coverage is on it yet though. Also not sure about bubbleponics but a 2x2 tent will be a good fit and you should be able to get some nice results...I really can't recommend it over that efs 4 2013 because I don't know much about them. I heard the same reviews as you on the chromes but a lot of good ones on the older versions. Sorry I can't tell you much more other than it has some pretty cool features with the spectrum control knobs and the quiet fans that you can vacuum out the dust (reminder to self: vacuum out the fan filters) and that it can also grow some solid nugs. Hope that helps and feel free to stick around til the end of the show.

Puff,
Thanks for the encouragement. I'll be starting a new thread about my 75 watt cabinet in a few hours here. To be honest I don't have a lot of time to document my progress so I don't do a lot of threads. Caramel Ice (Carmella x Red Skunk) seven gallon smartpot, super soil method, 10 even tops.
Can't wait to see your harvest,

What strain is that in the pics?? Is that the Caramel Ice? Love me some skunky genes. Great job, looks like some fine smoke. Already subbed to your journal, can't wait for the prototype to make an appearance! Harvest coming soon.

Picture update mid week 8. Been flushing for a few days, the strawberry coughs are ready. Getting the darkness tonight for 36 hours. Chop on Sunday. I'll have to inspect the kush better before making a final decision. The northern lights is right behind them...so close...so close...

Lookin nice and frosty in your tiny closet. I have learned alot watching your grow and a few others and it definately all falls to light intencity. That is the direction I need to head as every other part has worked for me. Growing in compost, the nuetrients I feed and the schedule I keep. I just can't get the quantity with what I have been using for light. Again I must say Super job!!
