A serious good problem: Is it too crowded?

Could the books possibly be referring to outdoor plants? Outdoor is a completely different story. Don't forgot your overall yield is related to the available light.... using 1200w the max yield you will get is 2.6lbs from your whole crop and even this is very unlikely, even if you had more space and more plants your yield won't break this barrier unless you add more lights.

Yep the tomato cages could help, or you could tie the tall tops down a bit.

I wish you all the best with your grow mate, and don't be disappointed with your final yield.

Just for reference, I use 850w and usually pull about 620g (22oz) from 8 plants.... that's just over 2.5oz per plant.... and this is very good.
That's cool. I won't be disappointed if I don't get 1.5lbs per plant. I will be glad as long I have final cannabis product for my personal use.

I was thinking to get a 800watt LED system. My financial isn't an issue here so that might change the game? A 800 watt led and I won't worry if it touches the led.

By the way I will post flowering picture when it becomes available.

I am using 7.5 gallon pots with the very best soil. The soil wasn't cheap. I read several cannabis books and they that is how they could get at least 1.5 lb per plant. One book said you could get a 5lbs from a plant, but I don't think I couldn't get that far with my specifications. So I am going to see if they are right or close to that. To be honest with you all, the cannabis I have here are really insane and monsters. They are growing like a hell satan fighting against the holy light. It is like you are watching at the greatest battle ever in the history! It's amazing and it is even better than watching a bon fire at night or any TV shows or movies. It's amazing!

Most of cannabis are at 3 feet and few are at about 4 feet high. I am so afraid to cut the tops, they are the most beautiful beasts right there.

I have decided to withheld two plants, one strain of each. So I could clone the strains from their mothers to jump start the batches.

I think I could get tomato cage and train the tops to crawl through the cages. Isn't that good idea?

24 oz per plant is only possible out doors.

Here's the best rule of thumb for your future grows, expect 3 times the size after you switch your plants to flower. So those plants will grow about 3 times their size once you switch to flower and out grow your space very quickly.

Your only hope for that kind of yield is outdoors man or become like the best gardener in your town and spend like 10k to grow one plant at a time because that's how much light you will need plus your plant will need to be at least 10 foot tall

Hahahaha, maybe I am a hardcore grower. LOL, I'll figure it out.

I still say top them and use the tops in a Cloner.... don't worry about losing them..you will have plenty plus you're not losing them, just using them at a later time.... cage them up and pull them beaches through the cage... don't worry about breakingthe stems...they will be pliable...
Good luck

Space is definitely a factor when planning how long to veg and for predicting a yield. You can only have a canopy thats 4x4' in your tent, once it is filled it's filled. Vegging longer wont get more yield without providing more space and more light as they grow. For 8 plants in a 4x4' tent Id think 3 weeks veg instead of 3 months :)

Too much is always good thing rather than to be too little and not enough. :) Right now, I am looking at LED trade off with my two HIDs for flowering. I might have to get a second tent to keep mother plants going.

It is possible to get a 1-2lb plant indoors. But one plant takes up a 4x4 or more to it's self. And it would need 1000-1200w of HPS to it's self. And some serious training/scrogging. And if in soil, about 20-30gals. Hydro would need a 20gal bucket. You have enough light for 1, maybe 2, monster plants but nothing else is in the recipe for a big yield per plant like that.
What were you getting before...or is this your first grow?

For your other question...2 CLW SS800's could replace your 2 600hps. if you were not to expand. Or maybe just a little bigger. But not the best units on the market, and your ambitions are pretty fucking up there, so maybe just stick with what you got.

Hahahahaha, this is my second grow. I seems have jumped from most rookie grower to a hardcore grower. Thanks for the input on LED, it seems it's better for me to get a third 600w HID to keep it going. Two MPS to run 12/12 and I think that's the best.

I decided to buy a third 600w to keep 4 plants going in other room. Other 4 plants under 12/12 with a serious scrogging in the tent.
