There is a word in there that is the biggest reason why we are fat as a country, not really food (although it is a huge factor), but we don't walk as much either. That is a big reason why I think they win out, we don't get to enjoy our country as much in the name of 'capitalism'.

When was the last time we would be able to close up shop and have an hour break for lunch, or how much vacation do we get a year to spend in the different places with our family. That is enjoyment to me, not look I am at the top of the sales list for the 5th strait month, only to hear, well then you had better make it 6.

It's also why our longevity rates are a bit lower. We have far more auto fatalities per capita than Europe. Twice as much in fact.

Because we don't have a better public transit system, so screw it government, jump on that.

And maybe we can stop the capitalist system from swallowing up all the things that would hurt there profit in the name of the free market. Kill two birds with one stone, maybe three.

Obesity, pollution, and death rates.

Guess all those 'socialist' and 'third world' doctors and hospitals are better at saving people after car crashes than we are.

That's all it would be FLY ... a guess. No way to plan an economy... on guesses.

No, all those socialist countries have FAR fewer cars because ppl don't have $$$$$.

It's per capita..... it stands to reason that the wealthiest country on earth will have more cars.

It stands to reason that since the wealthiest country in the world is a CAPITALIST country that capitalism is the ..... best system for INDIVIDUAL achievement. PPl always work harder if they get to see the fruits of their labors return to them.

No he is right, America is by far the wealthiest country in the world. Even if per capita we are not, as a whoe we are by far.

I would love to live in a place like norway which has far better standard of living (virtually no poverty there) and people are happy. But alas I do love my country even if I would like it to be better.
