A little assistance?

Hey right now I have been growing my first grow for about 3 weeks and so far its still just a seedling and its got a 60 wat bulb helping it for now and moving to a nice florecent later. But now it has come to a halt in growth and i forgot why that would happen, its a female plant and has been under 14/10. What am i doing wrong?

How tall is it? Soil? Watering schedule? ALL DETAILS would get you answer sooner brotha, pics would be even better but that's not always easy for us. :)
 
60 wat incandescent light bulb? could be the problem if you are using that bulb. you said its still a seedling? at 3 weeks it should be bigger than a seedling and also not showing sex yet
 
PLASTIC CUP WRAPPED IN TIN FOIL? Don't get me wrong but you could be burning your roots! Switch it to a bigger pot since it's 3 weeks old already too, maybe the roots are at max and it can't grow bigger because it has no root room and you're stressing it out. How big is the cup?
 
y wraped in tin foil? and is the cup loke a solo cup for beer pong? could be root bound by 3 weeks
 
Yeah im thinking about a transplanting tomorrow, its about 4 or 5 inches tall right now and the tin foil is because i dont want light getting to the roots cuz i got stupid and used a clear cup, but from the looks of it from what you all say, its more harm than good, the watering is once every 3 days and the soil is fox farm i beleive.
 
dude use 1 gal minimum dont mess around with 1/2 gallons.

and tell us, y is the cup wrapped in foil?
 
Now that i think of it it is kind of retarded with the tin foil.... im removing the foil now, and a 1 gal then, then it should be more happy ill post pics sometime if i can find a camera. what ohter advise can i get, on its only stalk it has 2 oval leaves and one female leaf at the top
 
Well i read up on the how to grow section 3 weeks prior to starting, thanks to this site i knew how to do all of this so far, but now im just at a tricky part. and the other details is that i think its starting to get rams horns brown tips, probably from stress so i will get the soil damp enough to transplant to the 1 gal so it may do its thing.

you cant tell sex by leafs man, you have a long ways to go my friend. did you say its 3 weeks?

are you useing a florescent (spiraly or tube) or incandescent (standard bulb)? ill bet this is why your plant is so far behind. ill also bet you have like 6 inches of stem before the leafs
 
Ok let me help you here dude.
1 those tips that are turning brown are most likely from heat stress. That light is probably to hot so get a fan in there if you can. Try to keep the lights close to the plants though.
2 are you using a 60watt cfl? Or something else?
 
the florescent i will be using is a tube used for aquarium lighting for a 55 gal tank, im just trying to use the resources i have.... very few, the light buld is just a standart and yes... it is about 6 inches of stem before the leaves start coming into place so im guessing that is a bad thing, but its all good, first time grows usually are just to learn. and that what im here for. thanks:weed:
 
Well try to get the aquarium bulb on that plant as soon as possible. The standard bulbs don't produce enough light for the plant to grow properly. 6 inch of stem is not really good. You'll be ok with the right lights. Put the fan on low and if it's small have it blowing at the bulb.
 
willl a florecsent blacklight work? I have one and its right next to me now, but im not sure if thats the correct light. otherwise i can get the other tube on it. the fan has been put in place as well.
 
ya man sory to say but this first lesson may need to be scrapped for a new one. ill bive you a b for effort but i dont think you did your home work right. you do get extra credit for the fox farm by the way.

first thing you need is that florescent light. maybe get a cfl or 2 in the mean time.

get some more seeds and start germinating them, paper towel method

then once there cracked open plant them root down into cups (drain holes are important) and only water when soil is dry.

my other advice is read read READ and keep it simple.

im goin to bed soon but tomorrow ill throw up a few useful links. while im gone tell me a bit more about how you want to grow. quantity, how long youd like to ved(time before flowerein), where you are growing exct, and ill help you out

Yeah alright, umm so far I just want a single plant to grow, a personal plant, thats all. growing it in my room. I want to grow using soil only as well as fertilizer. and not sure on the ved cycle yet. but i will know when the time comes.
