A civil debate?

Many religious people want to home school their kids if they can't afford private school. They want to shield them from scientific thought, from reason and logic that dispels religious dogma, from a young age. Now we have a third of Americans that can't think critically calling those that do indoctrinated. Hard to even call them hypocrites as any idea like hypocrisy or indoctrination is incomprehensible to them.

I would love to hear your explanation for why government schools are forcibly funded by threats of home seizure and yet government schools purport to teach kids bullying is wrong.

Please elaborate.

You obviously have no idea what common core even is.
Ah common core. The idea that 2+2 can be 7 as long as you can explain your answer.

But I see way more party talk so far. So let's talk parties. I see people doing exactly what I first mentioned. Blanket statements of dislike and disagreement. I'm a libertarian. (Whatever that means anymore) But you know what I think about both Democrats and Republicans? We all want to make America better. The place we see most in line with our ideals. We just have different ideas of exactly what it is and how to accomplish it. And religion. I get it. It's annoying as all hell when people take it too far and try and shove it down your throat or force you to believe what they do or be cast aside. But again. The basis of religion is love, and being a good person. Again, we may disagree on things, but that doesn't mean that the people who believe different than you are inferior. Too much now a days it's easy to see only the bad side of something. Especially if that's all that's going around. This 'I'm right you're wrong' mentality is tearing us all apart and the rift is growing bigger and bigger. It's a line in the sand and we're all squaring up to it. Everyone uses the excuse of freedom of speech. You're free to say anything you want in our beautiful english language and you choose to use words to be a dick about the whole thing?

P.S. I did both pubic school and home school. I'm not a socially stunted retard from homeschooling. And I know many people who can say the same. That's another completely un needed thing to be said. Just an excuse to insult someone. Damn guys.. :|

This is why you can't post supporting evidence reported anywhere else but from your fingertips on the subject?
Can't you be troubled to do that, not for me, but for the future Buckold acolyte?

EDIT: If I remember, you had no such issues when people questioned Hitlery's chances of election. ;)
you literally said it was not a good idea to condemn nazis.

public schools outperform private schools.

you were so sure trump would win that you refused to take a $10,000 bet with me on it.

you only said baltimore once.

I think you're confusing common core for homeschooling.

You're saying that individuals over an entire nation the size of the US that home school are indoctrinating their young?

Again, a VERY wide blanket.

No wonder you think the way you do.

Most have to learn to critically think themselves if left to public resources.

I wonder how many in Baltimore are home schooled. ;)
Shit curdler, "critical thought" are you fucking serious? Youve gone septic from ingesting imbecile puke and the regurgitated babbling of ignorant racists. Critical thought renders your every position laughably disposable.

Bro you sound like a sanctimonious gas bag. Your musings might entertain the struggleville coffee klatsch but expect to be slapped down and mocked when you bring nothing but earnest babbling to the thread.

"Again, we may disagree on things, but that doesn't mean that the people who believe different than you are inferior" shut the fuck up idiot

Alrighty then. Let's talk. what exactly do you have to bring to the table? Other than insults. You think you're superior to me in some way? Because I'm trying to entertain the thought that maybe we could all get along if people like you didn't spring it and just start throwing insults around? You're high and mighty behind your computer screen. Trying to bring honest and respectful conversation is somehow a bad thing? lol you're exactly the type of person I was trying to avoid by creating this thread. But feel free to keep it coming brother. You're only proving my point for me  You don't know shit about me besides a couple of opinions and you feel like you have the right to try and insult me? I'm crying right now but it's from laughter. Not hurt feelings. I didn't know middle schoolers had access to this site. You're petty. But damn it I just spent an entire paragraph on you. holy cow I guess you did win this one.

I question your assumptions.

Passing a tax law that uses national debt to transfer a trillion dollars to a very small group of already wealthy people is an honest act of "we all want to make America better"?

Targeting the Hispanic community with anti-immigration laws, threatening to deport adults that were brought here when they were children and who only know the US as their home country, who are educated, working and paying taxes is an honest act of "we all want to make America better"?

Obstructing an investigation into collusion between Trump and Russian officials to at best discredit the US presidential election and at worst, steal a presidency that will be obliged to Putin is "we all want to make America better"?

Diverting money from already cash-strapped public schools to finance fundamentalist Christian private schools is "we all want to make America better"?

Policies that expand the use of fossil fuels instead of doing what the rest of the world quite rightly is doing to reduce emissions is "we all want to make America better"?

What kind of Christian would support all of that?

This is not an argument between fiscal conservatives who want a small government and social democrats who want large social programs such as universal healthcare. The right wing radicals in charge of the Republican party are literally killing thousands of people in their war against public funding for healthcare for the poor and terrorizing millions in the Latino community with their programs. This isn't a "I'm right and you're wrong" argument but one of a struggle against racist, bigoted policies that are being used by the already wealthy to take over the country. Sometimes being rude to people who support that is completely appropriate.

Why is everyone assuming I voted for Trump? When I was told Trump was running for president I didn't believe it for like three months, I thought it was a joke. I've been outspoken about Trump since I realized he was being serious. I think the man is a joke. No I did not vote for him. But why not instead of just jumping the gun and starting to slam somebody for why they think the way they do, ask why. Try and understand. All I was trying to do was get a good debate going where we could discuss shit without half the people on here right now doing what they are fucking doing. Turning it into an angry argument. We can't just talk. I'm the juvenile? What exactly is juvenile about trying to spark civil debates? Fuck me right let's just all call each other names and not actually get anywhere.
