8x30ft container advice

whats up guys so i got a 8x30 foot container and i want to put at least 40 in veg and 40 in bloom do you think i can and how many lights do you think i need i have a total of 60amps that i can use but plan on geting more

maybe this would help im going to use 3 gal pots in bloom and half in veg would be in 4in and transplant into 3gal untill they get to about 3 to 4 foot tall i have 5 1000hps and 2 600hps light do you think i would need to use them all

Your gonna need more than 60 amps unless you plan on separate flowering rooms on a flip flop or something, and even then you're pushing it. How many grows have you done in the
past?

This is a pretty huge grow you're goin to attempt. Seems to me like you need to do
some research before starting something this big. You're going to need roughly 10,000 watts to light her up properly. If you don't have the experience I would just section it off and start smaller. Then you can expand as needed.

First thing though, definitely need more than 60 amps. I believe a 1kw light uses about 9 amps, and you should neve run more than 80% of your full circuit load. So really you can safely use 48 amps at any one time. 4 lights puts you at 35 amps, leaving you with 13 left over for all your fans, dehumidifiers, pumps if running hydro/aero, etc.

If you wire the light to run on 240v it will cut the amperage load close to half. Either way you should get a higher amperage service, at least 100 amps.

well i work for a marjyn investments wich is a larg grow warehouse and i have been growing for about 2 and half years but do you think i have enough room to put that many plants.with the amps i do have more i just have to wire it in from the house and i think i can get about 50 to 60 amps from the grage as long as i dont use me welders an air tools.I mainly would only grow mothers just for cloneing.The only thing is if i got room and how much power do i need to run

Kmfl, I have a similar set-up- 8x8x22- that I split into 3 rooms, two are 8x8x8 with a 4x8x8 store room between them. 4000 wtts in the flower room, floro's for the veg. room.

I veg till they are at least 2ft, sometimes taller( 2 months vegging at least). Depending on strain and technique, they will be from 30 inches to 60-70 inches by harvest. I have a total of 18 in the flower room and sometimes it gets CROWDED!! Take it for what its worth, thats my 2 cents.
