825w CFL Grow - 3 Plants Flowering Now

I'm sure you've heard it, so i apologize in advanced, but why not HID instead of all the CFL's? Those 825w could be giving you almost 2lbs every 4 months instead..

Wow lol, good luck with the grow! Keep us updated! And i agree with anon, 400watts hps would give off less heat and a simular yield unless scrogged.

Most people on rollitup recommended I started with CFL's, just in case I sucked at growing. I am buying a 440w LED for the next grow.

But yeah i started with CFL's too, but not that many lol i think they meant like small scale, but whatever they're not terrible. I was able to get .6 per watt on my first grow with CFL's so I was happy!

Idk LED's but based off of what I've read I think you'll cut a good bit of heat out dropping to a 400w led vs all those CFL's. You should be able to get the same results with this style grow for half the wattage as well. Hang onto some of those CFL's for side lighting then as well, seems like you aren't bothered by the heat(thats really the only disadvantage when adding more light) so they'll be useful for extra side lighting along with the LED.

Welp anyway, good luck man, i'll be keeping an eye, really interested in seeing what this produces!

I was going to start small but I want a good yield.
I was going to flower with the 450w (2700k) CFL's; but I had the 375w (6400k) CFL's laying around from when they were in veg. So I went out and bought 3 mogul socket cords for $45. If that bumps up my yield by even just 3 g's then they were worth it.

Exactly! I was going to do the 440w LED with the 450w (2700k) CFL's and see what happens.
The 6400k CFL's will still be useful for seedlings after I upgrade to LED.

This is what I have been looking forward too since I started, besides harvest, BUDS!!!
It's really cool to watch to each stage as it grows. Thank god the stretch is over!!!! Now for the fun part!!

I'd rather try LED's next grow.

Sometimes I just sit and stare at them. I can't look at them enough.

I am assuming this is light burn. I moved the light away another 3 inches and it seems fine now.

Here is what I'm smoking today

Quick update: Day 26 of flowering, the back plant is 12 inches taller than the other two. I have done some defoliating on the back to plants. They had a lot of useless shit on the bottom that is now gone. I am keeping all the lower bud sites on the Chemdawg plant because I want to re-veg her for clones after harvest.

All my plants are 26 days into flowering (2 more days and it's 4 weeks into flowering).
That bubba's gift has some good size nuggz, looks like at least 3.5-5 gram nuggets.
I am excited for my plants to pack on some weight.

Chemdawg is a 9-11 week strain. ​

I will probably harvest the Chemdawg around June 9th, which is the end of 10 weeks.
Bag seed looks like a sativa, I will probably let them go a little longer, about 10-14 weeks

Whenever I start to see Amber trichomes on my plants I will begin a slow "flush" over the last week and then harvest. My goal is the usual 10% clear/ 85% cloudy/ 5% amber.

Today is day 40 (week 5 weeks 5 days). About 30 days left for the Chemdawg. Bag seed probably 44-51 days left.

• The Chemdawg x Ghost train haze looks good. It still has a while to go.
• The front bag seed looks ready now. The amber trichomes are everywhere. It seems early, so I will watch it over the next few weeks.
• The back big bag seed buds look like they are still growing. It could go longer. I accidentally skipped a feeding and about half of the fan leaves started fading a little. I fed again today so it should be fine.

I have bought a few things for harvest. I got a stackable drying rack and a hydrometer for curing. I also bought this trim tray. I was going to use the trim to make edibles but I'd rather have kief.

I harvested the big front plants four main colas on may 24th. I did not flush. I had actually just fed nutrients 4 days before I harvested. After smoking it, The hole flush before harvesting is complete non-sense in my opinion. My weed tasted great; smells great; burns great; the high is amazing.

I trimmed the fan leaves and then dried for 2 days and then trimmed sugar leaves. I let it dry for another 2 days. After 4 days of hang drying I cut them up and put them in jars with a hydrometer. It was still a little wet so I had to keep the lid open for 2-3 days. When the humidity in the jars got to 66% JH (Jar Humidity) I opened the jar to get the JH to 57%. After two weeks, the JH is staying at a consistent 59%.

Unfortunately I did not get a full dry weight of the plant I weight it after smoking 14 grams. A very close guess for full weight of the four main cola's is 1.5 ounces- 2 ounces. After about two weeks of smoking it. I remember exactly which strain this bag-seed is, It is a stain I smoked back in October and November 2015. I loved it then and I love It now. I am sooo glad It is this strain.

Bag seed review:

• Dense buds; the "pop corn" buds weigh about .6-1.5 g's a piece.
• The four main buds weighed 4-5 grams
• The high:
• very very strong high, normally I smoke 4 bowls every 4 hours. With this bag seed I smoke 2 bowls every 4 hours.
• Unfortunately, more than 4 bowls in 4 hours will make you sleepy.
• Definitely a downer. The high starts in the head and works its way down to the body. After about 10 minutes you are stuck to your chair. Impossible to motivate yourself with this one. Extremely hard to think.
• This strain is great towards the end of the day. But if you have stuff to do, I would avoid it.
• Overall, I love this strain.

So I may not have gotten the weight I wanted. It wouldn't have mattered if I went any longer, the remaining plants have not grown much in the last three weeks. But the fact that the strain is good and its soo fucken potent; It may last me until next harvest. Only time will tell. Overall I am happy with the pre harvest.

I smoke a lot, about 2 g's a day, I have smoked a new strain every two weeks for 7 years.
Trust me when I say the bag seed strain is a very good strain.​

i think you should experiment with harvest times, let a few go a bit longer and judge for yourself which feels like a better high. It's a nice first grow! Congrats, looks like you hit/passed 4zips.

After getting some lights and good genetics, you'll be set
