Have you been using the awesome blossoms? I'm not quite sure what additives I want to put in there... In addition to regular nutes, I'm definitely doing MagiCal (great shit), root 66, and ThriveAlive.... probably sugar daddy too for that molasses-like effect.. I used black strap molasses last grow, in the end I found it attracted insects when used often, so I opted for the non-organic version this time.

As far as Awesome Blossoms, I don't even know what that is or does.

Hi Kid, they looking good, you mentioned going to buy some more sugar daddy, just a thought but take a read on General Hydroponics Floralicious Plus, my local hydro store gives it huge ratings, its super concentrated too, just 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons, which works out lot cheaper than sugar daddy in the long run, just thought i'd mention it.

whats the purpose of sugar daddy? Carbohydrates? Can the plants even use those carbos? or is it some other macro/micro nutrient in there

Sugar daddy is magnesium and sulfur and cane sugar so yeah it is beneficial and as I am noticing falling short for the TD which is requiring more Magnesium The awesome blossoms is basically a nutrient booster N/Phos/K2o and some assort.micros like copper, iron, boron, moly, zinc and manganese.Anyway Sugar Daddy is important and upon further reading I should be using twice as much as what the Technaflora recipe suggests in the 12/12 cycle should have read the fine print sooner LOL

Thanks for Tip and props faithfulmastiff finally getting some nice buds started on the TD had to boost the Cal/Mag today also added a boost of sugar daddy bring her out of the definciency which was starting It was very difficult to catch with this Pheno the colors are almost a perfect match with the normal growth/ so leaves looked droopy and the srems were getting wilty this morning got the situation corrected kept the temps on the lower side today and extra water cycles throughout the day so will see if she bounces back by morniing.

Hi Kid, glad i can pass on some useful info, iv'e gotten my fair share from reading on here, the Floralicious Plus is an awesome replacement for sugar daddy, upon reading the specs on both products, my helpful lil friend at the hydro store (with a raised eyebrow & a smile) explained why i should switch & as far as the cost the Floralicious Plus works out way cheaper due to the concentrate of it & how much is needed, seen it on ebay for $29 for 16oz, pretty good deal oh & thats with free shipping

Hell yeah BR thats some head stash for sure

manes thread still hasnt been bumped so I figured i'd drop this update in yours....

First of all,

FUCK! I snapped a branch today! LOL! I broke my own rule! ALLLWWWAAAYYYSSS wait at least TWO hours until you train your ladies, otherwise they are a little brittle/dry! And will snap under pressure with no warning! When they are wet and you start PUSHING them hard they will first begin to tear the skin, this branch fucking snapped! no warning... lesson learned, again, for real this time ;)

Good news though, it didn't fall off, and it was the sativa branch that was out growing the other branches by like 2x. I kept the skin against itself and didn't let it dangle, I have it tied/anchored to two points now holding it together, I'm hoping in the next few days it will grow back into itself, and by then the other branches will have kept up! It is looking quite droopy though.. if it dies I loose like 5-7 nodes on the one side lol oh well

Second, do you remember my calcium deficiency? Well I think I figured it out! Today I was bring my nute solutions ph down and it was taking a LOT, like 2mL of pH DOWN, bullshit LOL so I calibrated it and it was a FULL .5 off! Not .05, .5! So I was watering with 5.8 water, when I thought it was 6.5. This would definitely result in cal lock out!

I watered with:

2mL grow

4mL boost

2.5mL MagiCal

2.5mL thrive alive (red)

6mL root 66

Now that I snapped my branch I will wait for a day for them to get better then I will post updated canopy pics, heres a sneak preview from yesterday though

I'm in soil lol 3.5 gals of Fox Farms Ocean forest... FFOF has enough nutes for like almost a month, and I transplanted to this soil like 2.5 weeks ago.. so I'm starting the nutes up realll slowly...

and the root 66 is pretty much kelp, which I hear is good for all stages... I did notice how technaflora didn't mention adding it at all... but I hear it's a really nice thing to add as its full of good kelp hormones and what not

I found this thread:

Kelp, You Gotta LOVE It (if you love big fat hard BUDS) <

The root 66 says on the side that its Ascophyllum kelp, and this is what I read about kelp!

I am now a Kelp junkie. Foliar feeding through week 4 or 5 of flowering (and throughout veg) and I will tell you, tremendous difference. Slow-growing plants? Hit 'em with some kelp. Stressed plants? Hit 'em with some kelp.

I don't see how it would help the rooting stage, and detriment other stages if the roots are still growing? I'm just going to stop using it probably a few weeks into flower... using it with the feeding schedule - feed - water -water - repeat

I'm updating manes thread with a full canopy when he bumps it

Hey, Kid,

With the Technaflora, in soil I'm doing, Feed-Water-Water.

That's what they recommend, but other companies do feed-water-feed-water

any idea on their reasons for this?

dont know to much bout the advanced nutrients yet but i would suspect it is just a difference in recomendations from different manufacturers and the mix ratios in PPM. feeding applications are up to whoever is doing the growing and mixing as I see it
