F*$&^$% AWESOME b.R those are knockout pornstars hope mine look that beautiful,How tall is she in the last pic? Thanks for the great post b.R. cant wait to see the pre-cure and dry pics. Please please say you're gonna take pics of the harvest and trim then post here!!!!! alright enough begging just sit here and drool try and think what todays update was.Oh yeah did start training today Verde took the high dive and jumped right in gave the big girl a light trim for better light to the TD and hopefully i can get a tight upward spiral going and keep her under or at 3' have a strong feeling i'll be using lots of string and velcro. took some udates pics for before and after shots will post them later have the girls sealed up and in recovery pumped up the co2 with fresh green pads so the PPM should jump to about 6000 or 7000 ppm no exhaust fan for at least an hour or so and circulation fan is on low. will need to monitor the temps with HPS going now try to keep it at 85-86deg it might jump to 90 with room sealed up but it hasnt ever gone over that so should be good for at least 3 hours of co2. will keep posted throughout the day as the results unfold here Later bros and thanks again b.R for those awesome blossom pics very inspiring.

Sounds good man, just try to do one leaf here and there, rather than a bunch at once... easier on the plant if it's a gradual change

this is the topped BBG she is finally showing definite signs of flowering and bud production
grow pics update 3-1-2011 007.jpggrow pics update 3-1-2011 018.jpg

and of course the TD she is also starting to show more signs of flowering and some really cool colors not sure if you can see it in the pics but the fan leaf stems and main stalk are a bright greeninsh yellow to orangish with a dark reddish stripe up the center to the leaf base hope this is just the Phenotype showing and not a nute issue but she isnt showing any signs of stress or other common signs of trouble.

Well there it is other than the training the days routine was fresh co2 greenpads an hour prior to starting training then did first stage of training and trimming mostly older fan leaves that were just to big and shading other plants or buds, once finished sealed up the room, shut down the exhaust fan and let her sit for three hours room temp was 77deg and rose to 89deg in the first three hours no signs of stress from any plants.Did the second round of training let the room cool down and exchange air while also manually running a flood cycle room temp came down to 81deg then sealed the room again for another three hours.Third round of training opened the grow room temp was at 90deg again recycled the air and let the exhaust fan run on low tidied up the training and prepped the girls for the lights off cycle making sure the greenpads were wet and had everything set for the night. room cooled down to 81deg held there for 30 mis then shut of the exhaust fan for the night 15 mins before the lights out to let the girls absorb the co2 it has been making a difference during lights out girls like it so I just leave it in overnight (used to take them out an put them in ziplocs for the next morning) well anyway there it is hope you guys like the update
I feel much better now knowing b.R's is at 42" i gained back 6" today she was at a total height of 30.5" this morning. So with some management i should be able to pull this off most likely have a CBOG (chaotic blob of green) when i am done haha

the big BBG is starting to change color slightly now getting darker cant really see the colors with the HPS on but i will get some pics next time i have to reconfigure the lighting other than this everthing is on track and normal added three gallons of fresh bloom mix nutes jumped up the co2 with a better design by a stoner (ME). Granted it is a little stinky but being a college educated welder/fabricator it is very cost effective and i have to use odor killer anyway now. Total cost of materials $10.78 time to fabricate less than 1/2 hour what you will need: 2 liter soda bottle ,1gal crystal geyser spring water bottle)square bottle,Aquarium airline tubing length depends on your placement but at least 2' or so this is a simple gravity syphon feed set-up very simple cut the gallon water bottle neatly 1/4 from bottom save the top and cap next drill hole in the side just below the cap so the airline tubing fits very snug but not pinching it and do the same for the soda bottle but right in the cap(dont cut the soda bottle in half this is your mixture chamber) once you have this done figure out where you will place it for best effect the soda bottle will need to be at least 12 inches below the reservoir co2 release bowl. fill the soda bottle with 1/2 cup baking soda replace the cap tightly then fill the release bowl with a 1/2 quart of distilled white vinegar then watch the co2 flow you can just leave it until it needs recharge or you can shake the bottle for a boost or squeeze it and let it feed vinegar for a boost it is good for about 18 hours i will post pics of this tomorrow just for clarification. Warning it does have a sour vinegar smell but it is the cheapest and easiest way to go the baking soda is a dollar a box at the dollar store and the vinegar is 2 and some change for a gallon. later all and many awesome blossoms hope you like the update

View attachment 1475334I have a hunch my TD is about to explode Verde she is a little droopy here cause of the morning dew feeding but ya gotta get some pics posted for comparison, LOL she is just about 12" tall now after the LST actual height is prob 16-17"s but she also went to 12/12 very early due to unforseen circumstances(Me being a noob haha). get them pics out and post bro i might be further along but between you and Mac it will be good comparison between soil and my hydro set-up.

Sat.3/5/2011 update:

Well things are going well have good noticable growth on all the plants. Have some good info for all Tangerine Dream growers after going over my notes and reviewing temps and lighting from day 1 comparing with growth rates and height tracking. Granted I only have one TD going but recorded growth patterns and info will help define specific needs of this strain. Most everyone has already suspected my conclusions here so now there is some evidence to back them up.This is for TD strain only and info is from my specific grow environment please dont take this a controlled study or something other than just my observations. basic info germed on 1/22/11 sprouted on 1/26/11 started in hydro veg phase on 1/26/11 full strength nutes avg room temps 77-79deg Rh 35-55% Techna Flora Nutrients at 1100PPM for grow mix and 1430PPM for bloom mix base water is well water unknown PPM/TDS. PH is maintained at 6.0 controlled release of co2 for enviroment.Ok now the good stuff TD age is 38 days total 16 days vegatative phase and 22 days in flowering phase. Significant accelerated growth is recorded during higher than avg room temps between 81-90deg without co2 and up to a high of 95 with co2 enrichment this strain has inherited tropical genetics and is very responsive to tropical climate conditions.Recorded growth during these conditions is tripled and plant response shows very healthy and vigorous vegatation along with distinct coloring of stems and new growth.Observation of G13 Blueberry Gum under the same conditions shows stress and droopy fan leaves with the elevated temps without co2 enrichment while the Tangerine Dream thrives and accelerates growth of vegatation and stem production gaining an added 3/4" of growth per day during normal room temps and conditions growth was at 1" per day and has now reached just under 2"s per day in flowering phase.

Conclusions based on observations and recorded info: Avg room temp 81-90deg RH 50-55%(should be noticeably humid) Tangerine Dream has a definite preferance for red spectrum light in vegatative and flowering phases although it does respond well with the blue spectrum it will increase growth rate and responsivenees by 25% with more of the red spectrum in your lighting. So take it for what it may be worth any specific questions feel free to ask.

I'm keeping my temps like 75-82 during lights on

Getting down to 63-65 at night.. They are doing great ;)

They do grow well once they get established Verde and by all means if yours are doing well dont fix whats not broke, I am just posting my observations and grow info for any who might find it useful definitely didnt intend to say everyone needs to follow my grow-op. I am most definitely not a cultivation expert and only post my opinion and observations so others have relevant information which may be useful or helpful for their own purpose or grow.

My normal room temps are the same range as yours usually 77-79deg during lights on and roughly the lows are 61-67deg lights off I just recently started running 24 hour co2 in the room so i can let the light cycle temps rise to 85-90deg the avg being 86deg I also monitor this pretty closely and will let the exhaust fan exchange the air every 2 hours or so bringing the room temp down to 79deg and then gradual rise with the co2 buildup again and during lights off the exhaust fan remains off until lights on then run it long enough to exchange the air. more or less keep fresh air and co2 levels throughout the lights on cycle. I do all this manually so there are periods when co2 needs to be cleaned and recharged as well as other hydro specific duties like res change and cleaning light adjustments. I also like to experiment and play around quite a bit just for learning purposes to see what works and what makes the plants tick so to speak.

Thursday 3/10/11 Pic update progress report

Well room op is business as usual cut way back on the co2 seems i was running it a little extreme along with the high temps didnt do any harm just became ineffective, so i cut it back and things are normal again starting to plan for the final three weeks of flowering ordered more sugar daddy to finish out this grow seems the kit is a bit shy on this supplement also started adding molasses at 1 tbls per gallon water for the buds and planning to flush with plain water in the final week. Ok here are todays pics

first up is the topped BBG four nice tops one is a little smaller than the other three still looks nice though
