7 auto flowers in one 20 gallon pot

Hi guys!

I haven't been on here in a while, but I am currently growing 7 different auto flowers in one huge pot with 20 gallons of FFOF under a 300w full spectrum led. 1 is a Berry Ryder, 1 is Magnum, and the other 5 are from a Shortstuff autoflower mix of seeds(I don't know what they are individually but they are each a Shortstuff strain). They are all female. It is day 43 from seed for the Berry Ryder, Magnum and 2 other mystery Shortstuff genetics. For the 3 other Shortstuff mysteries, it is day 38 from seed.

MY QUESTION IS: since they are all in the same pot and they have grown into a canopy, should I trim off the lower parts of the plants that won't reach the top of the canopy, like you would a scrog?

I know that you're not supposed to alter autoflowers too much because of the self timer they're on but is this a good idea....... Or a bad one?? Does anyone have experience with something like this here?

well I get confused to easy but I am pretty sure that my berry rider is 5 feet tall and this may be way off up or down because I have a hard time with around but I think 3 or 4 feet wide so I love your idea and I know I was going to try that this summer out side with a kids swimming pool turned into hempy bucket but even know this is my first auto so may be most are not as big but it seem like there could be no way all those could fit when yours get bigger but I wish you the best of luck and I will try to keep looking at this to see how you do because then may be it will help me also

Keep us updated. This is pretty cool..

Yes, I'd definitely trim the bottoms and larf.. I keep pulling the tiny inner buds off of my auto. It's fine.

I once stripped off all bottom foilage on an auto once a it halted my growth and set me back about 10 days. Some strains will have positive, some negative. But no heemies on any. Good luck.

Thanks for the backup Sunny. Yes, this is a project that is mostly for fun. My wife tried a to start a garden in this huge pot last season but failed miserably. We just moved so I had to finish all things growing in my garage before making the move. So, being tapped out on finances from the move but wanting to get growing again asap, and having a bunch of seeds that I'd yet to use and this huge pot of good soil, I paid tribute to my elders by saying the unofficial New Mexico motto, "Fuck it Aye" and I put some seeds in dirt. Amen.

This is one problem I can see popping up amongst others already listed. Your girls may uptake nutrients at different levels. One may be a heavy feeder while the other not so much. You could possibly starve one while burning another. Hopefully all goes well though. Good luck.

Yeah ebcrew I am and this is not the way I usually grow, just sharing a fun experiment and wanted to see what you guys thought about trimming the bottoms since I've never done a grow quite like this one before.
I'll keep that in mind hotshot and try to pay attention signs of burning.

What brand LED is that? Since you said 300 I'm guessing P300? If so, great choice. Also, strange idea to put them all in 1 pot. They are gonna compete for nutes no doubt. Good luck bud!

Hey k00ms!I got this LED a few years back and it is a Dr. Grow Rite (350w actually). I don't normally grow in this manner, but it's too late to go back now. Yes, they will compete for nutes but since this is not an extended grow, as they are all autoflowers, I hope given the pot size that there will be enough to go around.
