How is the drying going?
Drying is going ok!

Can't wait to get it into jars! Next time I will update the sweet leaf yield. My smaller purple kush gave me some of the most resinous sweet leaf ever. There is so much of it too. Still not sure exactly what I am going to turn it into. Not into edibles so much, so maybe some sort of hash or has oil.

The trainwrecks are looking good. The leaves were so well formed, I hate flushing them and watching it go from a lush, dark green to... fall. The buds are rock hard though, and it smells like a citrus orchard. I figure that I will chop them this upcoming weekend. It's going to take some self control though!

Thanks for the interest! Check back this weekend and I will post some more pics.

Thanks iBlaze! The trainwreck is going to be the best I think. Here is an update after I clipped up the dried kush:
PKUSH_A.jpgPKUSH_B.jpgPKUSH_Acloseflash.jpgPKUSH_Aclose.jpgJARS!.jpg

My large kush ended up yielding 4.2 oz. and the smaller, 3.6 oz. Not bad for a first timer? Hard to tell, I see some people pulling in 10-11 oz. per waterfarm, but this was pretty good. If I am not mistaken, purple kush isn't really a huge yielder anyways.

Can't wait to chop the trainwreck! It's so god damn dense! Hard to tell how much that will yield, but the the branches are pretty much butt to balls nuggets, so hopefully quite a bit. I started turning the lights off sooner and on later a little more each day. As of yesterday, they are in complete dark with the pumps turned off. Probably going to chop tomorrow evening. They are begging for it!

Thanks for the rep mr.smilyface! "Rep" back at you!

@iBlaze: Both my kushes ended up really different from one another, even though they came off the same mother. The bigger one was very berrish, and the other almost ended up with a buttery/chocolate taste. The chocolate one I tried in the vaporizer tonight. A little grassy still, but it was surprisingly smooth already and lasted many hits. The high was a full body effect, but not the kind that would give you the spins. More like a million little arms are holding you up. It starts pretty strong, and about 90 minutes later I feel the effects about half, but I am not groggy or coming down. Feeling pretty good!

That being said, sativa is my thing, so I am getting excited for that trainwreck!

Have you taken a dryish weight yet?
Also is it Trainwrecks time or are you waiting longer still? If waiting do you have an estimated date?

The kush plants gave me 3.6 oz and 4.2 oz. They are all in jars curing their little asses off. The grassy flavor is all but gone, and the buzz is very friendly. I am done smoking it. I am going to go out and treat myself to an ounce of the finest sativa I can find so I wont be tempted to smoke this until it's good and ready.

I was going to chop the trainwreck this weekend but I haven't. The trichomes are looking good still, so I am just trying to let those leaves yellow up as much as I can. I have the day off tomorrow though, and I think in the morning I will chop them. I will definitely post the results! Definitely looking forward to this stuff. The buds are so dense and dry already! I wish I could share with all of you!

That is extremely impressive yeild for a first grow. I believe I was averaging about 1.5-2.5 oz per plant when I started. You have 200 more watts than I did though. I've moved up to the 600W Lumatek Switchable. Probably never need another ballast again. I picked up feminized trainwreck seeds a couple years ago. The results were outstanding. I was really pissed when I lost my strains to spider mites. I have never been able to get TW back. You will definitely enjoy it. Just make sure you have nothing to do for a couple hours after you burn it for the first time.

Thanks everyone! I finally finished trimming up my trainwrecks. I was VERY surprised... There was so much! They are extremely heavy as well. Even with one of the plants being that little runt, I fully expect these 2 to outweigh the 2 kushs I harvested last week. My neighbor and I vaped some... and it is definitely trainwreck! The buds feel very dry too, which I am hoping means a lot that weight is resin. On a couple of smaller air buds near the bottom, I found 2 seeds. I closely (so closely) inspected the rest and didn't find anything. I bought some killer sativa a couple of months ago that was cheap because it was lousy with seeds. I bet some errant pollen is the cause. Thanks again for all the positive feedback!

Thanks! I just clipped all the trainwreck buds, and they are chilling in open glass mason jars for a couple more days. I have accelerated the drying of a few grams, which have gotten very dense and greasy, and are surprisingly smooth for having taken the quick and easy way out.

In addition to the regular cure, I pulled out some trainwreck and some of my larger kush plant for a water cure. First time growing, and what I have read seems to make a lot of sense, so I figured I would try a little bit out and see for myself. That will finish up on the 17th. I have a pretty big deadline then, but I try to will post an update the next day with some macro pictures of the final products, and the final weight of the trainwreck. I know there are some epic grows on this site, but I feel like Marc Emery over here with my 15 quart jars filled up with fresh bud! A friend of mine who just opened up a dispensary is turning all my sweetleaf into some honey oil. Not sure when that will be done, but I'm definitely looking forward to that. Anyone have any experience with that stuff? I'm not even sure what to do with it! Although, that's never stopped me before.

Nice job. Trainwrecks puts me to sleep. I had a qauter of it once. straight killer. It was more expensive than the kush.
