When are the buds suppose to fill in? i got it on 250 hps light. i be trying to get tempss to below 80 but its a hot summer during veg state they would get to 102 degrees,
but just wondering why its taking so long its Snow white . says it was supose to flower 8 weeks so something is wrong, and leaves curling up like a taco, and tips burning off, i tried. its only one seedling....2013-07-29_17-05-14_802.jpg2013-07-29_17-06-55_778.jpg2013-07-29_17-07-18_532.jpg2013-07-29_17-07-23_911.jpg2013-07-29_17-07-36_219.jpg2013-07-29_17-07-52_789.jpg2013-07-29_17-08-05_114.jpg2013-07-29_17-08-49_932.jpg2013-07-29_17-09-10_510.jpg2013-07-29_17-09-21_349.jpg2013-07-29_17-10-33_312.jpg2013-07-29_17-10-45_927.jpg
anyone know the deal. get at me, im using flora Nova as nutes. but just added water 2 days ago. how long till buds start to fill in or do i need to remove some bud sites?
i did lolly popping like 2 weeks ago.2013-07-29_17-07-31_139.jpg2013-07-29_17-09-57_471.jpg2013-07-29_17-10-08_895.jpg

yea i be trying to bing temps down and didnt give it more nutes sense last week, and dont kow bout ph dont test it figured it be right sense i buy the gallon of purified water, but got 5 gallons of water and only put 2 tsp dont know why nutes be high i thought i didnt put enuff, but havent put nutes anymore just water.it was doing so good on veg state. problems started when i changed to flowering... i was thinking i dont got enuff light. i raised the lights, last time i checked temps was at 78. so what temps should it be for flowering? this be taking to long..

could be stress related....... stress during flowering can delay the finish. 1st thing is check the ph and get the temps and air just right thats what i would do in that situation.
the plants look ok otherwise but maybe stress delayed them a week or 2 just my opinion tbh

yea that might be it, sense i did lolly-poppin, removed all the leaves and bud sites at the bottom so the energy goes to the others, yea dont have ph tester thats why i would guy gallons of water but figured ph would be right wouldnt you think thats, i might have to put an ac in that room., its supose to be indica but looks like sativa, leaves was way fatter when i was vegging?
should i try giving it some flora nova veg? i been going it floranova bloom.

yeah could have set it bk a week or so with stress but they still look good if u dont have ph test kit or pen it makes it harder to rule the ph being a problem out .
you can never have enough fresh air in the room the plants will thank u later for it lol
maybe flush them with fresh clean water first then give them a dose of nutrients but like i says a ph kit would help alot . and a flush would maybe get rid of any build up in the medium but otherwise they look good just might take longer to finsh than u expected

No i wouldnt think the pH was right just because of a certain water. Just adding nutes changes ph, and plants use different elements and send waste back to the res which will change ph. Ph is the single most crucial element of growing hydro and a simple test kit can be had for a few dollars at most big stores. That few dollars could be the difference between 1 oz and 4 oz, kinda worth it huh?
ps. Plants dont need "fresh" air, they make it.

yea might have to look into thats, so i know ph but gonna flush and trying to keep temps 80 or below . and ill give it s some flora nova veg, so how can i take get the leaves back to normal , they rolling up like a fruit-roll-up.. this strain gots 30% sativa so maybe sativa genes taking over, cus all i see is white pistils no bud. so how can i get them to explode?
thanks for the great Advice Jay. i would greatly appreciate it if you give me some knowledge. snow white, daughter of white widow..

i think the high temps is maybe the reason the leaves are like that along with maybe the nutrients being to strong hard to say tho.
do u have a strong fan blowing on them ? that can turn leaves up aswell.
to get them to explode with bud the environment and food must be right an they do all the work . like superstoner says a ph test kit is cheap and can be the difference between an oz and a few worth the investment .
ps by fresh air i meant air that isnt stale and recirculated lol

Id say your correct up until the fresh air thing. Plants indoor most certainly need fresh air. They consume the co2 and put out o2,,, if they run out of co2 aka their fresh air then they will stop growing completely.

And the ph of that purified water is known to drift around and change from time to time, best to adjust it. Any form of stress will slow your ladies down considerably Azaz.

yes, i gots a timer from 6 to 6 , and just got me a ph tester earlier, so during flowering whats the ph level its supose to be at? see what happens, tomarrow ill check it. is floranova good nutes? its my fist time tryin it, well get at me
thanks

Buy a better light dude min 400w HPS .. Change the globe every grow and if its hot during the day change the light so its on at night ... IMPORTANT
pump air for bubblier outside your tent or grow space.. keeps water res down ...

Wow. That must be why i am only pulling 2-1/2# every three weeks, no fresh air to my very sealed room. Imagine what it could be with fresh air.

I think you both are on the same wave length. Your talking fresh air as in oxygen and he's referring to the plants fresh air as co2. So if you had a sealed room with co2 you would be providing your plants with fresh air.IMO

For the first two years i didnt even have co2 and still pulled big numbers. Just being in the room gave them co2

ph is at 7.5 and tap water is at 6.8, so think ima flush and not give it any nutes for the moment sense i dont have the ph up and ph down solution, got fired a week ago from my job so im on low on funds.so will it help if i get it some co2? and instead of 5 gallons of water just give it 2 gallons?, and if i get a 400 watt hps light just imagine how hot it will get if its hard to control with 250 watt hps light., i got a 1000 watt hps sodium but i probably wont be able to replace it with 250 watt sense the ballast might not be able to handle that many watts. but never know first time using hps.

Do you have a fan blowing over the bulb? Is it an open reflector? Is it a 250w with the ballast built into the fixture?

If you're in soil you want a pH of 6.5-7.0. The temps are definitely too high. Don't get a 400w unless you plan on venting the hood
out of your space. An oscilating fan blowing over the bulb/canopy can help. Also, with high temps comes increased transpiration,
so the plant winds up spending more time transpiring and replacing water, which gives it less time to process nutrients.

Flora nova @ 8ml / gal = Lucas formula and has a solid profile for cannabis plants. Being able to measure pH is pretty important.
If your pH gets too far out of range, you will develop deficiencies and growth will be stunted.

2 big things: heat and ph...

If they're in soil, ph should be 6.3-6.8.
6.5 is ideal.
If they're hydro 5.8-6.3

There could be so many problems when the ph is far off and they get to 100+ degrees.
Both need to be fixed...fast!
