Here is the basic outline of the comp. For those involved with the last competition it is very similar.

1st post or germination post must contain the following: strain name, nutrients used, light source used, media used and germination date (day of sprout)
Germ date and strain name must be written on the cup by first post.
Party cups (16oz) only, no other sizes permitted or transplanting from other sizes once germied, no paper or fabric
Roots must be confined inside the cup any roots outside the cup is automatic DQ
Any Indoor light source allowed- no changing light sources once started (with the exception of a burnt out bulb). No Sunlight
Participants and sponsors may vote on winner(s)
Prizes are Available from these sponsors : Indagro, Root Pouch, Area51, Midweeksong, and Green Gator Filters
Start from seed only. No Clones
12/12, 11/13, 13/11, the entire time = No Veg time
Start 5 seeds, keep only 1 female plant for entry once sex shows.

Germination window begins 8-1 and ends 9-1. No exceptions
weekly updates mandatory with picture or you're DQ

Hydro, dwc, automated watering,soma style and any other non-standard, non-dirt type growers:
All the above methods are fine as long as your roots do not grow outside the confines of your cup. Trim your roots from growing out side the cup or be DQ (you may be subject for a picture in between weekly updates to confirm there are no roots growing outside the cup)

just a thought since there's 50 of us and no one likes going threw pages and pages of nonsense when they are just interested in looking at the pixs/watching the comp.

So when we first post in the official thread the rules state we need to post our supplements. My only issue is that as a newbie, I only have molasses. Haha. I know I will need to feed on such a smale scale to keep this girl healthy, so I will be purchasing my Nutes in the next week or so. What about if I suddenly need to correct a defeciemcy though, and have to purchase something else. Am I limited by the.rules of the comp to what I started out with? IMO, Nutes should be posted in every update, but more as a learning tool for those watching or competing. I also want to use this experience to learn and fully understand it will be my own fault if I overdo it, but I can't learn through trial and error without trial and error...I hope this wasn't already answered haha :bigjoint:

The shit talk and badgering is the only reason I'm even entering, it's basically a crap shoot on 5 seeds, hoping that one turns out fem and ends up being a good pheno. Last round 75% of the entrants were gone in the first few weeks, what keeps the thread going then if no shit talk's allowed? lmao
