that is one big bud!!! 3 months of flower? u useing 12/12 light sced? it may be sativa dom but 3 months is a long time,,maybe switch to 11 hours of light to speed up finish,,its a little green but thats not bad, my plants get fall colors by 7 weeks using maxi bloom by general hydroponics,love that nutrient!!! works great and its cheap..a gallon size bud DAMN THATS BIG!!

It's not really one bud, but like a cluster of 3 or 4 buds. But yeah it is almost as big as a gallon jug, and dense too!
The strange thing is that all four plants are exactly the same age and strain. I did accidentally snap the main stem almost completely off on the monster plant. I fixed it with some tightly wrapped duct tape, and it seemed to really take off after that.
I think it has stayed green because I haven't backed off on nutes yet. I'm almost out of my foxfarm big bloom. I will check into the Maxi Bloom, thanks.
I was wanting to shorten the photoperiod, but it was suggested to me that I would stress the plant and cause more harm than good. If I do, would it be better to start shortening the photo-period by just a few minutes per day, or all at once? I think I am going to experiment with a diminishing light schedule on my next grow.

ive always went to 12/12 straight from 18/6 or even 24/0 with no problems, even my lemon haze finished in 10 weeks under 12/12, but id go straight to an 11 hour day to finish her, and add less n and more k to get those fall colors or just switch and use maxi grow in veg and 1st week of flower and maxi bloom week 2 of flower till 2 days to harvestand flush the last 2 days..i used to flush for a week or 2 and found using nutes right up to 2 days before got bigger buds without change in flavor or burn after a cure..

1,2.3 buds no matter thats a hell of a good bud size!!! i have never had a bud that big,,trim it let it dry and weigh it hole,, id love to know the weight of that beast!! id sell it, a qp 1 big bud,stem n all.lol put that bud on display,,,love it,, i wouldnt be able to bring myself to cut it up,lol.. i at one time had a top that was 2 ft long and 10 inches around at the middle i had put it in an airtight glass jar on my mantle for almost 3 years before a drunken new years eve party pushed me into breaking it up and rolling a couple cheech and chong.foot long joints...i regretted it the day after though.lol

I was reading a thread the other day that suggested feeding all the way up 'til harvest (if growing in soil). The same thread also made mention of watering the plants with boiling water a day or two before harvest ( i think) in order to help accelerate the cure and improve flavor. It was interesting, but idk.

A two foot top? Dang. But hey, what better time than a drunken revelry to send it off? I will def post wet and dry weights, don't you worry bout that.

Ok man, all i have to say is spectacular thread so far. I started reading out of curiosity and thought your set up was totally bad ass......but what the fuck is that huge thing on the last page!? Is that weed!? The top of that plant is INSANE!!! Thats like the biggest bud ive seen on this site on an indoor plant in a year. What strain is it? Is that the durban? I gotta tell people about this. Baaahahahahaaa!

You guys have gotta be yankin' my chain. You do realize i changed over to hps right?
I don't know the strain. These are like 3rd generation bagseed plants, but it kinda resembles matanuska thunderfuck. The original females I grew outdoors only got about a foot tall.

That thing...is fatter than my forearm. Thats good lol. Im an enthusiast of big buds, that girl nailed it hard. You say your at how many days? I had one that was a 160 day finisher and she had buds as long and if you stacked two next to each other...as wide as an 18 pack of beer. Two tops filled an 18 pack. Thats my biggest, you have a single plant top as wide as a gallon jug! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiin! Take pics of it all over the place before you hang it, infront of your mug, next to your arm, your gfs hooters, everywhere!

Your leafs curling down like that is a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity, i do not think it is a sign of reveg.

I had this problem on my last grow

Thanks to you, I backed off on my nutes. I don't know what i was thinking; Giving them 3 tsp big bloom, 1/2 tsp grow big and 3 ml cal/mag plus PER GALLON every watering. That is a hell of a lot of N ain't it?

Wanna see my banana? So it's been another 12 days, and I think still few more to go. Bought two new fans and tossed the one i was using. Temps dropped 10 degrees! These plants don't smell much 'til you bang 'em around a bit, and then they emit an aroma of pine-sol and bubblegum. If you rub a bud with your finger there is an oily, nauseating smell but then it finishes kinda like blueberry. EXCEPT for one, the smallest which just stinks like a skunk no matter what. And what's an update without a pic or two?

Gonna take some fresh pics tonite and prob update again. These pics are a week old.

I know that feel man I did nearly the exact same thing XD.

Nitrogen toxicity is a hard one to learn about if you haven't had to deal with it. I learned about it cuz i had to deal with it. Your learning about it cuz you have to deal with it. Just one of those experience things imo (:

ive been using general hydroponics nutes for 20 years, started w the 3part, then went w the nova series, and for the last 3 years im using the maxi series...i love it, it yields are better than the 3 part, just as much as the nova, costs less and ive never had to much n.. i did however get yellow my first run in flower w/ it..now i use maxi grow in veg w no problems and week 1 of flower i use half grow, and half bloom, from week 2 0f bloom to finish just bloom... never hav had early yellowing again... i love the maxi, its everything a plant needs in a 1 part for grow, 1 part for bloom nutrient... i even did side by side tests pinning maxi against some of the high priced nutrients and its yielde more in every test...advanced after all the hype produced less than even plantlife nutes..fox farm foiliar pro wasnt bad but maxi clearly defeated it..

I have considered growing in a big metal garbage can. Light proof and built in reflective surface, but working with sheet metal isn't my Forte. In theory it might dissapate some of the heat as well.
