Nice aero clone. What I did for a bubbler was simple. Bought a small storage bin, a junk bin for pens and bullshit about 12"x4" with a lid. I then cut holes just big enough for the plants and put a little foam around the edges. Then I put a long air stone from a large stockpile of aquarium stuff I have in. Cheap ones suck, don't waste money on the cheap air stones..... Anyways, I kept the tips out of the water(only filled it up about 2 inches) and the air stone creates bubbles which burst on the surface and cover the plant with water. I didn't even use rooting gel and almost every clone started rooting within a few days. They really started rooting after 2 weeks. Worked extremely well and should be about $10 if you shop at Wal-Mart.
Well don't that beat all! That sounds like a good idea. My 'clones' all failed to launch 'cept for the two I had previously started in rockwool. Stems turned into limp spinach lookin' noodles with nary a tittle of a root hair.

Here's a similar grow cab to yours. Mine is 6x 55w T5HO with the 2G11 base, in case anyone wanted to look them up.

Yes I saw your project when I was searching for ways to set-up my barrel. It looked really well done and clean. Originally I purchased all of the items you recommended, and disassembled my lights, mounted the ballasts outside of the barrel, and made cool tubes as per your instructions...but I didn't like how much space I was left with. As for my grow, it has been converted to an hps in a grow tent. I'm just using the barrel to hold a couple of clones now. But stop in and say howdy anytime!

Did you get that cloner built yet? Man that's a lot of clones! Monster cropping is when you kinda give the branch a little internal breakage right? I tell you wut, the other day, I was tying down a plant and the whole top cola branch snapped about halfway through. Snapped the other half while taping it back together. Thought it was going to die, but it's growing faster than ever!

Yeah I know what you're saying about size and space constraints. The real issue with this type of build is that you can only access it from the top. You built a sweet little tray btw ;-) that's awesome. With mine I just plug it in and she's in there for better or worse.

My can is shorter and wider than your barrel, so my lights don't take up as much of the space when you're looking down into it. Yours is taller and thinner, and I'm pretty sure that its concave on the interior (is it?). Your lighting fits right in there and you can still lift in/out your little tray perfectly. Either way it works and produces.

Hey Senile Fungus, is that a feminized plant, or are you just taking a gamble on it?
Yeah its an auto actually, Think Different.

In the past I've vegged in the trashcan with plants in separate containers and always had good luck getting females from seed.

Keep it up man would love to see more pics

I've seen one of those barrels with a 250w HPS mounted vertically inside and chicken wire around the light in a column maybe 1ft in diameter. I think it was 2 plants at the bottom, and they were trained all around. It was pretty sweet.

dont get critical hog unless u like lots of veg time...at least 5 weeks for a 3 ft plant as they dont stretch, but the smoke is really skunky goodness.

I was talking about The Hog, which is actually originally Tennessee Hog.

Critical Hog is Critical Mass x Tennessee Hog

If I recall correctly The Hog is a Hindu Kush x Afghani cross, shorter stature and bigger yields.

If I get a male from the Hog its going to pollinate some Gorilla Glue #4 :-)

I have my eye on money maker and female lemon kush for now. I was about to order, but got a little paranoid and canceled. White Rhino sounds interesting, and that Magnum autoflower by Buddha looks awesome, but couldn't find much info other than 14% thc.

I don't pay attention much to percentages. I'm a believer in the entourage effect, and I've gotten way more stoned off of lower THC bud than off of high THC bud. I really think that the other cannabinoids and terpenes make a difference in the overall effect. That's not to say that I don't like high THC lol, who doesn't?

Let's say it this way, one of my outdoor strains this year is Frisian Dew. Dutch Passions website has it at 9.7%.

i just put my female seeds feminized lemon kush iinto flower, very stretchy, but i think she will be a good producer as my other stretchy moms seem to be the best yielders, but only 2 weeks in so not sure yet..lady purple also 2 weeks in, has the fattest indica leaves ive ever seen, hope she turns purple along with a good yield..just pulled my 2 blueberry moms from bcbd, long colas, looked great but leafy,, dried, trimmed, buds dried to the size of raisins, throwing tham away damn they looked so good, dried to shit! all my patients are loving my durban poison from dutch passion, easy as hell to trim, very little leaf, lots of hairs and calyxs. i want to do a run of just durban as she is a pole plant, big cola and very little side branching, great for sog, i only harvested 5 and they were gone as fast as they dried, couldnt even cure them..got 2 feminized seeds as 1 of the plants produced a pollen sack(light leak, fixed now).. they say durban is a low thc strain yet every one loves it..

I guess I'm just going to have to start trying 'em out for myself.

Durban poison sounds cool. Maybe I will order some of those if not too expensive. On my first grow, all four of my plants ended up producing bananas about half way through flowering. (Probably due to a number of factors) I spent a lot of time picking those bastards off, and for the most part was successful. I ended up with about 10 seeds total in 6 ounces. Those seeds are what I am growing now. And sure enough, all 5 that I planted proved to be female. Pretty neat how that works.

I reckon it's time to update this thread. Things have changed a bit on this grow. I ordered a 32x32x64 grow tent and moved everything in there except for my 2 little clones and a dwarfy plant which are now in the barrel.

One of my plants may be dying. All of the fan leaves turned crispy overnight and the other leaves are all tear very easily. I thought it was some kind of heat issue, but none of the other plants are doing this. What do you guys think? Should I kill it?View attachment 3323868 View attachment 3323869 View attachment 3323871 View attachment 3323872
This plant seems to be recovering, but probably won't make more than a few grams.

So I'm about a month into 12/12 which means my plants are just under two months old now. One has really taken off and has some decent buds going on. One is just pathetic, and the other two are doing pretty good. I transplanted the largest one a couple weeks ago, and plan to transplant two more tomorrow. Is it a good idea to transplant this late?

by the way i must have gotten lucky with those durban poison's, they say its the fastest flowering 100% sativa, done in 8 weeks wich is great for sativas.. my D.P. finished in 42-48 days, left one in longer just to see if it would swell up more, the ones pulled at 42 days had more weight, tasted, and smelled better than the one i left for 8 weeks. at 8 weeks they are already beginning to regress, past done. losing smell and all trecs amber, not a white mushroom left..love it.. id like to pack 30 in a 4x4 area they would be perfect as they dont branch out and dont get tall but they are like a single cola for the top 8-10n inches like a banana..crossed some of the fem pollen with my skunk#1, hope to get a killer phenio

Here's an update for anyone who may be interested. Plants are four months old. 3 solid months of flowering, and still not finished. Posted a thread in the plant hospital about it. Got mixed advice. Some say to shorten the photo-period, some say not to. One guy said my plant has revegged and i may lose my biggest cola to mold, and another said they will never finish because I gave them too much N. What do you guys think?
