Heh yeah I went and checked out your last years grow and those plants looked great (true they were a little crowded). I was just noticing the size of your holes and basing my assumption on that. True a 2x2x2 ft hole will most likely not support 12 foot plants...but a 2x2x2 ft hole with FFOF dug into primo top notch worm dirt like you have in your yard just chalk full of castings WILL grow some monsters :) Those roots are gonna fill up that small hole you dug in like two weeks, then start exploring all over your yard soaking up worm poop. The "soil" in my backyard is sand and rocks - so im used to digging huge holes in rock hard earth and praying the plants don't get root bound in the ground! You lucky bum! ;)

hey you seemed kinda confused on why your plants stayed so healthy and huge with out alot of nutes. well if theri is a septic tank back theri that is most likely why
they are gettin so big and healthy. have u ever seen a yard with grass with a septic tank under neath in the middle of the yard. the grass is always much darker green were the septic tank is and it also grows faster and with more vigor. dont know if this is you case but it seems to me very logical

Interesting but I my largest plant last year was 30 feet from the tank. It is an old tank for we have sewer now. I just ran into gravel in that one area. Could be from when they hooked to the sewer also.

Here is a good pic of what I am talking about. If you look close there is 3 plants in the ball. Look close and you can see how I was growing 1/2 plants. This year they will stretch there legs. I could get way more than I got last year if all goes right.

with lots of room who knows whats going to happen this year. Last year was like 1/2 plants and then just a top of a plant. There was lots of pop corn inside this ball of plants.

nice plants, if u dont want so much popy corn u should space them apart more so they dont get crowded and shaded in theri all day, but they are great lookin plants

Looked great last year. Did you put your plants in last year the same size as you show in your pic? Those seem pretty small to get such monster plants from. Hell I put mine out a few weeks ago at 3-4 feet tall in 7 gallons into 100 gallon smart pots hoping for monsters. I mean I was hoping for maybe 12 feet. Mine switch mid august usually so I only have 2 months of vegging left. I guess I might be really surprised this year who knows bongsmilie I cant go in ground since I have super sandy soil so I went with huge containers. They hold 9 bags of soil each.

would really like to know when you planted last year and how large they were when you planted. Also what variety last year in those pics. I am doing Blue dream and Cheese mostly. One Lemon Thai Skunk.

I planted last year on May 18th. The 5 of the starts were a little bigger last year. 1 was much smaller. I am 3 weeks behind from last year.

Thats pretty sweet!
So you are using lots of perlite, so that the roots pass through the hole quickly? allowing the roots to grow bigger basically?
smart!
