I am getting a mini split this week. I think I will get an aura or whichever company has a long enough lineset. Do you guys think there will be an issue with a 40 foot run between indoor and outdoor unit ? If so how much wfficiency am I going to lose? I am only trying to do 4 lights, so assuming the 2 ton AC is overkill will I be ok?
The unit will come pre-charged with enough for "X" feet of lineset, if you go over that length just have your hvac guy add the required additional refrigerant and you will have no loss of efficiency. Usually its like 0.6 oz per additional foot depending on the model. Your hvac guy might be able to get one of the generic mini splits most supply houses sell for around $900 complete with everything you need.

You sound you know your shit and I never grew og but figured I'd throw this out there anyways. do you have a fan on them during veg got to make those stems solid then they should support the weight.
Yes sir and also pinch stocks to help beef them up. Most ogs are just scraggly bitches. No way they would grow in the wild

The soleus guy I know is sold out for a few weeks still so I think I'm going to end up buying an aura. The Ac guy I know can get one for 1350 but that's more than I want to pay lol . I got my sub panel hooked up today ..I used the 4 gauge wire I pulled down from the other room. Once I get the Ac this week I'm going to start throwing shit in there and hanging the panda film.

Does anyone have a good idea how to plug a window? It is single pained window so you can hear a fart on the other side. I want to close it off for security and smell reasons .

The clones have rooted for this room . Going to be 24-30 whitewidowXog

Start with a tube of clear silicone caulk on all the seams, just apply from the tube but don't smush it in with your finger. That way when you have to remove it it will pull right out. Heck do that to all the windows in the summer & winter and you will be surprised by how much it helps.
For $1300 I'd be looking at Daikin or Fujitsu.

Wellll. I got all the electrical hooked up. I got the mini split yesterday.. It should be up and running this weekend. Just got to throw some finishing touches , put up the orca film, hang the dehus, pull up the cArpet, and board up the window. I ended up just getting one of the shitty coolMart acs.. It was only a grand so I hope it doesn't break the first week.

Still don't know if I should do 4 raptor 1000s or 4 600/750 gavitas . Does anyone have a footprint comparison so I don't have to buy a par meter?

Can't help you with the comparison, but why don't you pick up 4-1000w DE setups but with the AC/DE reflectors. With those setups you can do whatever's clever at the moment. Run em at lower watts, or air-cool them in the summer, etc. So many options with DE's in those reflectors.
I still have some regular 1000's out there in 8' high ceiling bedrooms. Soon those will be replaced by DE's with the AC/DE hoods:-)

I don't like the idea of air cooling double ended fixtures . I don't know many people using these and I'm too big of a pansy to be the Ginny pig

I still Don't have a par reading for the gavita 600/750. I might just throw 6 of them in there and call it a day. I'm already way over budget might as well do it good. Canopy Footprint is 11feet4 inches by 10 feet
