4k watt Extra gear extra room

I am looking to throw together a spare bedroom that's sitting empty. It's 11foot 3 inches by 11foot 3 inches . I am going to do 4k watts. I have extra gear sitting around I am trying to do this room as low budget as possible . My question is, is this doable without a mini split? I have never used standing acs and I can't use a window unit. I plan to air cool the lights with air from inside the house and the room will be completely sealed. I'm going to buy a new door and trying to put all the holes in the door so I don't have to put holes in this rental . i am assuming at least one dehumidifier will be necessary, possibly two. Any ideas or info would be great

It is not really a good idea to do a complete sealed room without a mini split. Other units you will have to exhaust the A/C heat somewhere, not making it a true sealed room. Also you cooling your lights from within your house is going to make it hells inferno inside your home (once again creating a non sealed room).

Im not trying to be negative or a buzzkill for your idea, I am just giving you realistic information on what to expect.

So here is my advice:

I would scrap the idea of a sealed room and do a traditional setup of intake and exhaust. Since you are on a budget this is going to save you thousands (seriously). You will not have to have as intense cooling or as intense dehumidifying (problem I'm struggling with in my sealed 4k garden even with a $2000 dehum). I am assuming you want to do a sealed room to prevent spores, pests, etc. A way to do this would be to have 2 inline fans and 2 carbon filters (one that brings in filtered air and cools the lights and another that pulls the air out through a carbon filter within your grow room) having the exhaust filter fan combo be more high powered than the one bringing air in so this creates a slight negative pressure within the room.

This way you'll be able to control your humidity and temp better by adjusting your fan speed. All in all this route will save you thousands in cooling equipment, dehumidifiers, and electricity cost.

Cost is not an issue im just trying to budget this grow because it will be my red headed step child. I cannot do fresh air because I don't want to cut holes in this home. I already have 3 mini splits here.. If I have to add a 4th to stay sealed, than so be it . I am trying to avoid having another outdoor unit making noise . I have a few friends that have done 4 lights with standing acs so I was hoping to be one of them. I am aware that it does exhaust some co2. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons. I might just have to get the split unit

I am getting a mini split this week. I think I will get an aura or whichever company has a long enough lineset. Do you guys think there will be an issue with a 40 foot run between indoor and outdoor unit ? If so how much wfficiency am I going to lose? I am only trying to do 4 lights, so assuming the 2 ton AC is overkill will I be ok?

good idea to opt for the mini split. 2 tons for 4000 watts should be OK in most areas/homes.

you might have to pay a little extra for the 40 foot lineset but they are out there. not sure about efficiency loss, but if i remember correctly, you start losing some efficiency after 20 feet or so of run.

I'm finishing up my 4k sealed room, got my mini split hooked up a few days ago, I recommend looking at friedrich breeze 24k I got mine for 1800, it's a diy with the lines precharged. I read those auroras are trash, get an ac from an ac company

I have had good luck with aura. 1800'is quite a bit high for my budget. I am getting a precharged one but not the diy. I have an Ac guy that can come vacuum the lines. We're setting up the electrical right now and fixing the electrical from my other room. I am hoping this room will be finished this month.

I'm really considering the 600/750 gavitas rather than the raptor 1000watts now
What r they saying the plant clearance is from lamp? Less power, most likely more yield. Or go get ones of those tall storage sheds. 4 gavitas grossing over 20k. most likely a 11 k build with 3 ton a/c. Good luck. Your getting too busy.

My buddy went from raptor to those 6/750 gavitas n couldn't believe how freaking bright the room was, I recently bought the raptor style hoods so I'm staying with those for a bit but they make a conversion kit for like 80 bucks that you can run de bulbs in the reflector you already have

It is a sticky situation .i know I can hit 8 every time with 4 raptors . If I get the 600/750s and get under 8 I will never forgive myself . The DE lights will be here in a couple days , once they are setup I might go buy a par meter for piece of mind . I am going to be running a 9x9 spread in the spare room

I am working on getting a new laptop I want to post both of these runs and see if we can all
Learn from each other. Also I want to find out the true hype on these double ended setups! This will
Most likely be the last time I ever grow og. There are new hyped strains that are easy to grow and better yielders. My real beef with the ogs is trying to bamboo stake the fuckers up, too much of a
Headache .
