I have a stealth pc grow box with 45 watts of led in there. I was gonna grow the strain L.S.D. Will 45 watts be enough to have a good grow? I was thinking of adding either a uvb light to increase thc production and potency, or should I add another light. I am going to grow one plant,

Its plenty, have fun :joint:
Aight, im just mainly worried about potency, do you think the plant will almost reach its full potential in the lighting aspect? I know i need to have my water ph levels and all that other stuff correct because it all corresponds with eachother, but if that is all done well; will the light be fine?
Should i get another light or a uvb bulb?
I just dont wanna waste all the time just to grow some schwag.

You can grow schwag with the finest of lights too...I would just grow...I used to use 55w's in a mini fridge...think you will do just fine...Will you yield a bunch, probably not, but if the genetics are good, it will be good....Doesn't take much to grow a "weed"....just start growing then start tweaking your parameters....:peace:

Hmm that just enlightened me alot actually. So the genetics basically pre determine its potency and how much it will yield stuff given it has the proper nutes and lights. So basically the amount of light i give will only affect it to a certain point. So lets say a strains max thc content is about %25 thc; this means that no matter what you do its genetics will not let it go past that. Correct? And how did your 55w grow work out?

Generally yes, but really it is light, nutrients, air content and water all Together, that give you the best results taken in context of each other...sometimes for each strain that can be different....no one can tell you how to feel that out, but at least someone can provide a little guidance and say start Now and you will get a feel towards your strains, especially after a few runs!

To some extent yes......because on one hand you can breed something with 25% thc and yield offspring with potentially more, so yes that is a genetic process, when you got to flower, genes don't change....so yes in flower, its limit, is it's limit and your skill level accordingly will make it shine!

Crappy analogy?

And how did your 55w grow work out?
You can search my name and look thru my earliest threads, there aren't many over the last 2 years, probably less than 10...The fridge is in there, using Cree Warm White and Cool White LED bulbs from Home Depot....I would say I averaged anywhere from .5-.75 grams/watt..... over the few grows I did do......

As of right now....those 55watts were replaced by 25 watts of 3500k Bridgelux Vero 10's......which have flowered [once] and now are vegging...I am kinda of an LED fan, don't mind me :) :joint:

GOOD GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats some MASSIVE lights to only be 50 watts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the official breakdown
3x Cree WW 9.5 watt 2700k LED bulb
1x Cree SW 9.5 watt 5000k Led Bulb
1x Phillips 10.5w 3000k Led Bulb

All these are still available too, I think...thats it :peace:

Led's can do some things these days....

its kinda funny because when I first started building my wardrobe grow cab, I purchased like 30 of those Cree 9.5 watters, it makes me dizzy just thinking about it, but those Home depot bulbs sure look good in that PC case!

Can I use that setup from seed to bud?
Sure can.....the only thing I changed was running another 5k bulb in place of a 2700k bulb...then changed it back when I flipped to flower....

@Tim Fox.....I went overboard too...here is what I ripped out before the cobs....and thats about half of what I had total...So count me in for 25 or so too! :)
