oh hey btw,

if my babies are handling this heat so well now in this "delicate" stage, that would mean they will do even better when they get bigger, right?

Definately watching this grow. I have mi5, purple jems, and HBD on tap for the summer. And from wat i have seen and read about sour 60, its straight dank, and has phenos that can produce 2 zips.

I'm really interested to see how the Mi5 come out indoor... I've only seen the breeders photos, and they are all outdoor.

yeah, I made a lot of friends before I started my journal... Plus I talked about my grow in like 10-15 other grow journals to get people interested.
I'll be sure to check your pics...

ummm... Well I was just checking on my babies and I noticed that one of my sprouts hadn't made any progress for awhile. It was kind of wilted and seemed to be dying so I tried to see what the problem was and when I touched it, it fell over because the little stem wasn't connected to roots of any kind, or even it's taproot.... So anyway, it's dead. I really don't think I did anything wrong though.......... Could be genetics, could be my fault... I really don't know, the other 14x seem happy as heck though.

oh well... Now I have more room for females when these ones sex.

I have:

(autofem)
2x easy ryder
2x afghan kush ryder
1x flower power

(auto)
37x short mix
18x great white shark
15x purple jems
15x himalaya blue diesel

(photofem)
2x sour diesel
1x lemon skunk
1x rocklock

I will be planting those autofems and a few of the regular automatics after I remove the males from this round. I still haven't decided if I want this to be a seed run or not.

no big deal, I'm sure it's happened to everyone at one point or another... Good thing I planted/bought so many seeds.

-thanks for stopping by.

this is your first grow right? how many are you growing at one time? seems like you spent 100s of dollars on seeds. i hope that 10% paid off! :)

btw it probly isnt your fault, you must always account for some loss when it comes to seeds, and cloning for that matter. thats why its best to start out with multiple plants/clones.

did you see my recipe for soil.. what did you think, what are you using? have you considered hydroton clay beads at all? works well in soil.

yeah that looks pretty sweet... I need to buy a carbon filter anyway so I'll probably just get a good quality one.

unless you think that would work pretty good as an air scrubber?
i'd try this one first for that cheap.. if it doesn't work then grab a real one. they all work the same.

yeah I really wish that 'tude actually sent me those freebies.... I'll stay a customer because they sent me some extra freebies to make up for it.

yeah, this is my first grow. And yeah, I did spend 100's of dollars... I wish I spent less on seeds and more on my set-up but whatever... You live, you learn. And yeah, that 10% was kickass.

also... It could be my fault... It's really hot in there. But I could be paranoid... Everyone says that if your hand is comfortable at the canopy then the plants will be fine. My hand is comfortable, so I hopethat it will all work out.

yeah. I guess I feel you... But I'm not sure how I could install it in my growroom without buying an exhaust fan anyway so I was just going to buy a fan/filter combo from HTGS.

that'll work too.. regarding kepping your hand there- just make sure you have good airflow.. keep the air moving around the plants.. it'll help with the stand alone heat and strengthen up the stems.

I had some pics of my setup a few pages back... I'm going to do an entire photoshoot on day 7. Tomorrow will be day 4, so that means there will be more up on wednesday/thursday. I'm hella excited for it too.

okay... 3 of the 8 seeds that sprouted with group one (on 4/28) are very strong, a beautiful green, and showing a second leaf set already. And 3 of them look small, with these tiny leaves barely poking out of the open cotyledons, and possibly like they might end up being runts. The other 2 from this group look to be average.

out of group two (sprouted 4/30) I had 1 casualty out of 7 seeds germed, and the other 6 are all developing fast and healthy at the same rate as the good ones from group 1.

so my question is...

if I have these 3 shitty looking little sprouts, that may die off or be runts anyway, would it be a better idea to just be patient and let mother nature take it's course? Or should I pull the defective ones and plant some new ones in their place in search of better genetics?

please answer the poll in the link in the following post.

if I do pull them, it will be on day 7 when I do the photoshoot of all the plants I have going right now.

I'll definitely give them a good chance at life before I decide.
