Ya I had to move my plant to the buddies house it normally in the grow tent. I've thought about it but scared since it's my first grow. What would That cuz i thought the fan leaves gave it energy to grow.

Don't trim you leaves unless you want less yield. Even compltely shaded buds will develop fine as long as its fan leaves are getting light. If anything put more airflow on the plant.. the movement will uncovered shaded parts of the plant

I do think there is to much fan leaf on yours. When I grow an outdoor house plant, I trim that right back also - I have never seen adverse effects.
You have to admit also, 400w is not much light, so a trim will help light penetrate.

Notice how in my photo, I also have semi decent buds lower down.....well, read the article in the above link somewhere, apparently, this can be a bonus of trimming fan leaves - coincidence, or is there something here?

I tried defoliating 2x and I feel like i robbed myself of buds both times compared to the many non defoliated plants I have had.

I've tried both ways and found it to be counterproductive.
If you have parts of your plant that are so dark you can't even see color then you might consider defoliating.. I found defoliating really lowers overall energy absorption for smaller plants

Ya i might trim some of the really big leaves off of it and get rid of the the ones that r shading buds I'll do a little at a time tho and see how it goes.

I forgot to take pics but not much has changed since my Last pics. But I'll take pics when I check on it next.

Have you trimmed down your big fan leaves? I think it might trim some more of mine so the light will hit the buds and so they grow more

Here's an up date of my plant from yesterday. I took a bunch of the larger fan leaves off to expose more of the buds I'm hoping they'll swell up from it. Some of the pistols on the tops are starting to brown and curl in and the trichs r still clear looked at them under my 60x loupe. So I'm guess 3 more weeks or so. This will be the Last week of nutes than I'll start flushing with pH'ed water. Any one else know how much longer I have till harvest?
