Hehe, Hells Ya! so she took nice to a bit of sun outdoors? Thats good. She'll heal up nice dont worry.

My Plant is 8 days old now. under 2 100Wt CFLs and 2 150wt CFLs 2600K, Could you take a look at my Journal and see if my plants look right?

Here's a picture update ya'll been waitin' for...as I said earlier, I pruned her lager fan leaves off to supply the shoots with 100% lighting...I've been bringing her outside to try and nurse her back to health from the downward curling leaves...I've been gradually giving her a high N MG grow fert which she seems to be liking...

I also have a 7 day same bagseed sprout under 12/12 shown next to the almost month old girl...again, I don't know if the sprout will be male/female, we shall see...

In my veg closet, I have a week old bagseed sprout that I'm going to veg for about another 3 weeks then throw it into the flower room, so I'll see the results of a longer veg time...I'll get pics of that later when the lights come back on...should be in about 4 1/2 hours...set on a 18/6 6500k 42watt Cfl (2 bulbs) schedule in my Aerogarden.

Hey RIU...so I'm going picture crazy today, now that the Mrs. is at work and I have some free time! LoL...anyways, my 12/12 from seed girl is perking up very nicely now...she's getting a nice strong healthy root system that's being light pruned to keep her nice and tightly trimmed...Basking in the glorious afternoon late summer sun:bigjoint:

I took a picture of my border patrol of any insects that dare to enter my garden of weeden! LoL...

Anyone know of what type of spider that is!? Pretty cool lookin' if you ask me!:leaf:

I'm pretty shocked to see that no one responds to my thread...this thread should be boomin' with questions/tips/suggestions, etc,.
I'm here to show how MJ can be cultivated in untraditional methods...trying to convey how cannabis is such a versitile/adaptive species of plants in which a wide variety of methods can be used in cultivation. I'd love to be able to discover different techniques of cultivating MJ...

OMG JB30! I dont know about anyone else but I read your journal daily! It's inspired me so much That I didint even veg. on my first grow. I went straight to 12/12 like you : )

Yoyo JB30, Where did you get your HPS setup? Ill be getting one after this grow.

But im thinking of getting a 250w HPS, Can I germ under an HPS? Do I have to keep it like 1 inch off of the plant like I do with the CFLs?

Htgsupply.com is where you can get a nice setup for cheap! Yeah man, go with the 250 watt! 150 watt was all I could afford at the time...so it'll do for now...yeah I germed all my seeds you've seen so far under Hps...GL!

What about this one? My grow setup is 2ftx2ft and 4ft tall. Would a 250w HPS work? Im going to be growing like 4 White Widows next. Will this one work from seed to smoke? Ill be doing 12/12 from seed : )

Yeah man let that clone veg. for a month before you flower, you will probably get four or five times more bud for the waiting period. Then again, I've got a 150HPS and the plants Sttrreeetccch like no other so make sure you have at least six feet of space.

If you're afraid to bend your plant, under( water it, make it soggy, bend it, then water it and it'll spring back to fulllll STRENGTH in no time, two days. maybe three..

That's what I did... 'cause I did that to three colas. the third one snapped and I knew that doing it with a pure healthy strong sturdy plant was too risky.
So I made it a little 'weak' by not watering the next day or two? and when it looked like it needed to be watered, I bent them around a little bit.
next two days and they were STRONG ass branches again, with nice nodes!!

I also have a few other island tricks up my sleave if I'm too scared to bend/snap....

called slicing ;)

btw, are your clones' roots supposed to be exposed to light?

I thought that roots hated light? is that how you keep your clones?
Looks like a super neat container, where did you find those??

Hey DaC...that's a great setup for the price...117 bucks is wicked cheap...as for the 2x2 grow area, make sure you have plenty of ventilation...don't cheap out on that, cuz your plants will suffocate/burn from the heat produced...I'd go Hps tho

roots don't like light...but just for the time to snap a picture won't hurt em'...they're being grown in my Aerogarden...

oh well, I haven't had any troubles as of late...if I see any signs of uprooting, I will handle it as it comes...transplant or add more soil...thanks tho

Okay, take it easy on me guys...this is my first attempt at an indoor grow...what do you guys consider an ideal light space from the tops of the plant to adjust my light at? It's currently set at 10"-12" away, and if you read previously, the leaf tips curled down. But I think that was N deficiency...took care of that problem by taken her outside and feeding her a nice dose shot of Nitrogen MG fert. Its been two days since I had her outside and she's biginning to curl her leaf tips down again...I've been LST'ing her alot and twisting...any ideas?

Took 2 clones from her today btw and popped em' into my Aerogarden...fast rooting results with the AG! I switched my grow room around a lil bit...so now all I have is 1 room instead of 2...no more 12/12...my 150 is set to 18/6...I have my LST'd mother plant grown 12/12 from seed, 2 rooted Swiss Cheese clones, 1 seedling in my AG and 2 bagseed clones in my AG...

So, no more perpetual...its 18/6 from here on for another 4 weeks till I switch back to 12/12

I'll post pics laterz....~JB

You should be able to get the 150 HPS to 8" I would think, even un-aircooled.

I have my 1000 watt aircooled light about 10" from some plant tops with no signs of stress.

Be careful tho. Better safe than sorry. Shouldn't be too warm for your hand to be comfortable on their tops.
