yo JB! Glad to hear your girls are fine!

Hope to see them soon! Oh I have a ?.....

Im throwing around the idea of getting a 400w or 600w HPS from HTG.

they are the same price... Sooo. Whats the difference?
Soon I want to get up to 12 plants. my closet is pretty big but no fresh air being brought in. But I do Have a fan in there.

Im worried about heat? What about coverage?

Hey Dac...

good to see ya buddy...

to answer your question, it sounds like you've got the same closet setup that i've got running right now with my 400 watt'r.

Two things...you're gonna have heat issues whether you use 400 or 600 watts. I have an ordinary oscillating fan blowing fresh air onto my ladies which does the trick...my temps stay around 76 degrees on 68 degrees off.

Second, the strains that I'm growing triple in size during flowering. Good thing I only have 5 plants in my closet, otherwise they wouldn't fit if I had more. I'll have to post some pics of my whole garden with size comparison tomorrow when I have my day off.

IMO, you should go with the 600 watt'r for 12 plants. Are you going 12/12 straight from seed again, or are you gonna veg for a few weeks?

The cool thing with the 400/600 watt'r is you can buy conversion bulbs for the system and veg with Mh for a coupla weeks for some compact plants, then switch to Hps.

When do you figure you'll be ordering your next set up?

Yo! Thanks for answering my question.

So I might just hit up the 600w then : )

plans for the next grow are being drawn out... Alot of change is going to be happing!

Ill let you know on the order date before I do : )

(Hopefully less than a month from now)

Im very satisfied with the 12/12 from sprout so Ill be sticking to that for now : )

when I really want to pull in a huge crop ill grab a Convertion MH and veg for 3 weeks : )

yeah man...i hear ya on a lot of changes...there's always things that need to be worked on to improve an indoor garden.

I'm tossed between growing out a lot of little plants or just one big plant...I think I may just do one big plant...that will be easier to maintain and flush. The problem I'm facing now with my grow is the ability to flush the res every week. I have 1 res with 4 plants in it. It's impossible to move the res because the plants are like 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide...when I move them, the lower branches will break :( so, I dilute my solution with reg pH'd water and keep adding a little nutes at a time. Seems to be doing the trick.

So when I grow 1 plant, I plan on using the 5 gallon DWC set up with feeder tubes. This will enable me to flush and maintain the resevoir much easier without worrying about breaking limbs. Plus, all of my attention will be directed on 1 plant, instead of a forest of plants, thus making a beautiful specimen tree :)

The water pump and feeder tubes are absolutely unnecessary, just put the money you would spend on that and buy a better air pump
Trust me bro, I am growing in DWC and never used the feeder tubes. I just took put some new pics in my journal if you wanna see the results

thanks tom...i already have the feeder tubes and H20 pumps...it helps out with the first two weeks of root growth...i then remove the feeder tubes when the roots touch the water surface...it boosts the growth tremendously...I've been growing dwc for a few grows and i've used the feeder tubes in recent grows and see a noticeable difference when feeder tubes are used...
