4 5x5 tents

if i had room to do 4 5x5 tents would i be best doing 2 veg tents and 2 flower tents. im trying to figure out a perpetual cycle. the 2 flower chambers using 1000w hps and the 2 veg chambers using 600 watt mh. that way at any given time the most wattage from lighting being used is 2200 watts. always running from clone. i would start each area 4 weeks after the other to attempt to harvest 1.5-2 lbs per month. so what do you all think does that sound like the optimal set up or is there a better way. i will handle cooling i already have a 15000 btu ac unit, a/c big kahuna hoods w/ 6inch 450 cfm fans for every 2 hoods pulling from carbon filter through lights and directly outside. also will be ordering another a/c unit...

Yeah, why so many tents? Is there a specific purpose in mind for that? If you are set on running 2x 1,000 watters, I'd go with a 4'x8' tent for flower so you have space for equipment, walking room and optimal reflectivity. For veg, you may as well get another 4'x8' tent and you'll have plenty of space for cloning, vegging, and keeping your mothers thriving.

The point of 4 tents is to separate light schedules to run minimum amounts of light at one given point in time. That way cooling will be more maintainable and also There won't be fluctuations in power consumption to arise suspicion from utility company

3 tents would be an option but with 4 I think I can harvest more per year by harvesting about every 3-4 weeks instead of every 5-6weeks. Plus it would split up bulk times of trimming.

You can do the same thing with 2 tents.. Youre kinda overthinking it, amount of tents isn't gonna determine how often you harvest, how often you move plants from veg to flower is whats going to determine that, youre thinking of it as harvesting a whole tent at a time but what most of us do is just have our different aged plants all in the same tent and only harvest the ones that are ready when theyre ready. All in all 2 tents would be a wiser choice than 4 but if you wanna dish out the money for excessive equipment then go for it man..

I understand what you are going with with the cooling. You can have one AC unit potentially powering all the tents, and run many more lights off of that one AC unit. However, you are making the system really complicated to band aid your main issue, lack of cooling.

When you are deep into it, with a thriving veg and flower tents, all at different cycles with different needs, it will get overwhelming quick.

I vote as the others did. Keep it simple.

If I share one flower chamber for different age plants that means I'm required to have 2000 W running for flower in a 12 hour cycle. When if I had to separate flower tents I could alternate 1212 cycles and only have 1000 W running for flower

I'd rather spend more money on equipment and make my set up more complicated but be able to enjoy my harvest. Rather than a rise suspension and sit in a jail cell thinking of what I could've done different

I understand what you guys are saying about just two separate areas. And in a legal state I would love to do it that way and keep it simple but where I live sometimes things don't get to be simple if I want to be free.

dude i know guys that run over 8k watts at any given time and neither of them ever "rise suspicion". #1 way people get caught is cuz they tell someone and either that someone rats or that someone tells someone else and they rat.. Your not gonna get cops at your door for a high electric bill but again if you wanna spend the money and overcomplicate the go for it.

maybe i'm stoned this morning, and i am :bigjoint:, but

if you were only running 1 veg and 1 flower tent you would never have more than 1600w, not 2000.

maybe you explain what you meant.

Since 2 veg schedules would be 18/6 that means at some point for a few hours throughout the day they would have to overlap which would equal 1200 W running. Now with two flowerschedules running 12/12 that would give me 1000 W at a steady basis. Which would actually mean I was running about 2200 W on a consistent basis with 4 tents

Everyone's location, law, and situation is different what maybe safe for him may not be safe for me

And I would actually be like 2500 W at any given point in time. As I just thought about the fact that all my lights are thousand watt dimmable's so on 75% it's actually 750 W
