The pic does not show the size well.

The stock tanks (Res) is 4ft w 3.75 l 5.5ft h.. holds 325 gallons at the water line

The system just got up and running today.. Going to let it run for a week before bringing in some fish buddies.

I might fill this with some short autos one day.. but for now.. it is going to grow culinary herbs the first year.. then after it is REALLY rich with bacterias, fish poo and such, then, I will start doing veggies..

This system runs like a fountain.. Each system has a 1000gph pump in the stock tank feeding 8 1/2 irrigation sites.. the flow is pretty low.. the feeders can be moved closer or further from the plants.. depending on their needs..

It's aquaponics... fish poop fed plants, ya know..

the roots eventually really gather along the bottom... these systems need to run with fish for a year or so before they REALLY start to blow up..

I've run tons of these aquaponic systems before.. but. nothing of this size.. The largest previously was a 100 gal tank.. This should be pretty cool after it gets up.

That's a pretty awesome system there Hank, I would have turned it into a giant DWC myself just think of the size of the root mass you could grow in there!!

Haha.. that would be a pretty crazy DWC..

I wonder how fish would do in a dwc/aquaponic hybrid..?

I went big on the stock tank as I want BIG fish..
