But American design engineering is still very good, we just don't make the stuff any more, largely. We design the fuck out of stuff, though.

This is true but unfortunately thats where it stops ... Im not SUPPORTING china or their goods but those fuckers have cornered the market on manufacturing. Even the " materials " used in those american designs can have foreign sources ( whether components or production ).

Look at my grow. I started my 3 Auto northern lights under my 300w galaxyhydro (same shit as mars but a better company lol). Im about to harvest my last plant next week. She is a MONSTER. over 43in of height last time i measured 3 weeks ago.......now she is supercropped and such. Thats right. supercropping auto's. lol.

You're partially right. The components from Japan, Malaysia, and Korea are far superior in general to China. Everything china builds for export is done as cheaply as possible. They really do not care if it works, if it lasts, or if it blows up in your face. In the 1990's china stole millions, if not billions of dollars of tech knowledge. Now that superior equipment stays internal with the military. Even the chinese population are fed the same crap we get. When you're talking about a name brand such as Apple, the chinese build to their specs. Most, not all of those 300 watt led lights are made by the same company in china. US company's are buying them and putting their name on them. Again, unlike some, I'm not saying do not buy. I'm saying plan for a year, and if you get more. I'm an engineer, I know electronics, just learning about growing weed.

Considering a lot of people use them with no problems, I'm going to assume his/her issue was user error.

I'm using 2 mars hydro reflector 96 lights. so far so good. As long as I can get 4 grows out of them then I'm happy. 400 watts out of the wall should produce some nice stuff.
