Hi all I would like to build a 4 ft led strip led light for a 2x4 area
I have been looking at the Samsung 4ft f series gen 3 strips
But I could do with some help
I’m not sure if single or double rows are better
I’m not sure how many strips I need
So therefore I don’t know which driver to use
I would like a dimmable driver though
So basically I’d like your help
Cheers

Ledgardener calls for 4 double rows on a 480w driver for a 4x4....so i assume you could probably split the difference and run 4 single rows in a 2x4 on a 240w driver and it will light the space nicely.

https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/

read that article, it has all the info to get you started. Scroll down the page and it lists the various different strips and shows builds and parts lists for various size spaces.

Good luck

A HLG-240H-48(A or B) with either 4 of the FB22B or 2 of the FB24B will rock that space. I use a pair of the FB24B's mounted on 2"x 0.125" aluminum strips as a sink and support as outriggers on my Vero arrays. I normally only drive them to 60-80 watts and they just get warm to the touch. I have run them at 120w/strip and they don't get over 50degC. The FB22B's should give you more uniformity-just substitute 1"x 0.125" aluminum strips.
