I'd say about 3 feet from the top of the soil. I hope she doesn't get any taller. the LST helped alot with the height, she would probably be 5 feet tall now without training.

thanks for stopping by :D The buds are starting to swell up a little and the upper fan leaves are starting to get frosty. She will be 8 weeks old on June 7th I'll post another update then.

The goal of this "experiment" was just to see what kind of problems I'd run into using such a large pot, and to see how many main colas I could get without topping. I'm suprised with the results, I've had less drainage/ph issues with this pot than I normally have with 3gal pots, and she grew 10 colas on her own with a little LST. Next time around I'll grow out a BK mom and take clones for SOG :D

Well the main reason I use it is because my organic nutes are pretty low in magnesium. Epsom salt is pure magnesium sulfate, I was scared to try it at first but alot of other growers use it here on the forums so I gave it a try and I've used it ever since.

"Magnesium helps form chlorophyll in plants and is essential for photosynthesis. Sulfur helps activate plant proteins and enzymes needed for growth. It helps plants resist the cold, assists in root production and seed growth. Sulfur is often delivered to plants in the form of rainwater."

Thats the best quote I could find, I'm not very good at explaining lol

06/07/10 (Week 3 flower): She's exactly 2 months old from seed today, the leaves are starting to lose some of their deep green color and there's already lots of trichs starting to form near the tops. I would take close-up pics but my camera sucks :( I'm getting a new one soon, hopefully before I harvest. One of the colas in the center isn't producing much so I'm thinking of cutting it to allow more light to hit the rest of the branches, but I'll wait another week to see if it catches up with the rest.

what up majek?! I boiled 1/2 teasp of epsom salt per gallon and watered my girl with it. Today she is happier than she has been in a looong time! I had a feeling there was a mg lockout or something. I have a new grow going on and i was wondering at what age would you start giving your plants epsom? Dude your baby looks scrumdiddlyumptious:clap:

hey whats up, good to hear about your plant :D I usually don't start feeding epsom until after I start 12/12, but you can start using it at any time. I like to wait until I see signs of Mg deficiency, like brown leaf tips or rust spots. got any new pics?

Majek, plants are coming together nicely. What kind of water do you use?

Edit: And Epsom salt replaces the need to use Cal-Mag correct? I'm running FF nutrients, which are all low in magnesium. I use tap water and Botanicare Cal-Mag, but I've read that Cal-Mag is mostly for RO water.

Yeah it's basically the same stuff, but cal-mag has calcium and nitrogen added, I would use it but I'm cheap =x

Man iv learned a lot so far, like NOT to OD your plants with mg! And my lst plant turned out to have balls, sucks too cause it was beginning to be a pretty, healthy plant. I have 2 new ones now, going straigt into flowering with one and ill veg/lst the other. I'll post pics in a week or so

06/14 (Week 4 flower): After looking back at the pics, I decided to cut 2 of the main branches that were producing poorly and blocking light from hitting the other branches. 7 main colas remain :joint::D I also did some lollipopping and trimmed about 1/3 of the lower growth. The buds are still pretty immature, they should pack on alot of weight in the next 3 weeks :D

3 1/2 weeks left, more updates coming soon...
